Daily Devotional church in Bangalore
by Ps Ashish Raichur

Greetings and thank you for being with us this week, as we talk about God in the workplace. In the bible, there is so much the bible has to say about the workplace and obviously, we are not going to be cover it in a week’s daily devotional, but we are just touching on a few of these scriptures. I want us to look at a very interesting scripture in the Old Testament, this is something God gave His people under the old covenant. In Deuteronomy chapter 8, verse 18, God tells His people, ‘And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.’ God says, under the old covenant, remember the Lord your God because He is going to empower you to make wealth, to increase monetarily. He is the one who give you the power to make wealth so that He will establish your covenant. Very interesting, that as part of His covenant relationship with His people, He is going to empower them to make wealth. Now, coming to the New Testament, we understand that the new covenant is a better covenant. If under the old covenant, God promised His people to make wealth, how much more under the new covenant. The new covenant is not just a spiritual covenant but covers every aspect of our lives here on earth. Therefore, I want us to understand that as part of our covenant with God, He has promised that He will give us the power to make wealth, He will give us the ability to increase in your income, earnings in whatever work you do, we are all doing different things but He gives us the power to make wealth. In Isaiah chapter 48, verse 17 He says, ‘I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.’ Our God is for us and He is here to empower us to profit, to make wealth, to increase monetarily so that we can be blessed and be a blessing to others. Believe that God will do this for you in your workplace. Expect God to come through for you. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you that you’ve promised to empower us. As part of your covenant, you empower us to make wealth and teach us how to profit. May we glorify in the fruit we near and be a blessing to many people, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
