Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Welcome, thank you for joining once again. We are talking about planning as per the word of God. Today, I want to touch on planning and preparation and see what the scriptures have to say. Firstly, let’s read from Proverbs chapter 6, verses 6 through 8, it says, ‘Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise, Which, having no captain, Overseer or ruler, provides her supplies in the summer, And gathers her food in the harvest.’ God is speaking to us through the example of the ants and we know how they prepare for a season of lack during a season of abundance. We notice how the ants work so hard and they have a focus, they don’t just go about things randomly, they know what they are trying to do, basically gather food and provide a shelter for themselves for a difficult time. We observe that there is this element of planning for the future, providing for the future and that is something that each one of us can do for ourselves based on what the Lord is revealing to us and the things that we are engaged in, in our lives, we know exactly the direction in which God is leading us. With the knowledge that God has given us, we can prepare for the future and preparation is so helpful because there are things that we can foresee and maybe we will avoid certain problems and challenges. We may make better use of our resources because we have foresight and planning helps in this manner. We can see in Proverbs chapter 22, verse 3, the scripture says, ‘A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself, But the simple pass on and are punished.’ We can foresee certain things that can be avoided if we plan and prepare ourselves. A couple of other important things about planning and preparation, we don’t do it lightly. We see the example of apostle Paul from a passage in 2 Corinthians chapter 1, verses 17 and 18 where he says that the plans that he makes, even with regards to ministry, he made them by the leading of the Holy Spirit, he didn’t just put something on paper and tried to accomplish it. Instead, he waited on the Lord and as the Spirit guided him, he went about his missionary journeys. We too, could work on our plans in this manner. Hear from God and then write that out, go ahead accomplishing it. So, the usefulness of doing this as we stated earlier is that we can be efficient and make the most use of all the resources we have and walk into increase and excellence. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you that you can lead us and direct us as we plan. We pray that your guidance and light will be upon us and that whatever we put down will be as per your guidance and we will see increase and fruit in our lives, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
