Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and thank you for joining us today as we look into God's word. We've started the series on understanding God's timing and we spoke of how each of us trust in God's timing and His timing is always perfect. Waiting on God and His timing requires patience and that's what we are going to look today, how do we have patience while waiting for God's timing? We must trust that His timing is perfect. Isaiah chapter 40, verse 31 encourages us and says, ‘but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.’ What does it mean to wait for God's timing or wait on the Lord? Waiting on the Lord is not a passive thing but it is absolutely active. It involves a time of trusting where we are trusting in His timing. It involves surrendering our plans and our desires to Him. It requires patience and also requires us to align our hearts to His will. Even when the answers or the breakthroughs we are seeking may seem very far off or may seem distant, as we said, waiting on God requires patience and this is a fruit of the Spirit that should be cultivated in us through the trials and the testing. As we wait, we persevere in prayer seeking His will. We must also resist the temptation to take matters in our own hands but instead wait patiently for God to act in His time. It says, those that wait shall renew their strength. This is one of being renewed and being rejuvenated that when we wait on the Lord, we are actually receiving fresh strength from Him. We may feel weak or weary but He infuses us with that power and vitality and strength. The verse says, ‘they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint’, it highlights endurance, stamina that God gives to all those who wait on Him. Even when we are in the midst of challenges, God sustains us, enables us to persevere with faith and resilience. This is a powerful reminder of the rewards of patience in waiting on the Lord. As you and I trust in God's timing, remember His strength renews us, His Spirit uplifts us, His grace enables us to endure with hope and with confidence. Let us take comfort in this promise and wait expectantly for God's timing to unfold in our lives. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, I pray for all those who may be waiting. Lord, even as they're waiting in patience that your strength will abound in their lives, that they will run, they will walk, not grow weary, not be faint that your vitality, your strength, your stamina builds them up in such a way that the waiting becomes an opportunity for praise, thank you for hearing our prayer, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
