Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Patience (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Ashish Raichur

Greetings, thank you for the opportunity to come your way today and spend this time with you. This week, we've been talking about the nine marks of a minister of God and we've been looking at what Paul wrote in second Timothy chapter three and verses 10 and 11, as he mentions nine areas of his life and his ministry and he points them out to Timothy and says Timothy, you've followed and carefully observed me in all of these areas and obviously he is telling Timothy, Timothy, these are the marks of a man of God, of somebody anointed by God. We have been examining or just looking at each one, today we will look at what Paul mentioned it as, long suffering or for using it in more modern term, patience. He said, Timothy, you've seen my patience and obviously this patience had to do with his dealings with people because being patient and how you're handling situations, circumstances, that you deal with people with great patience. Paul himself wrote in second Timothy chapter two and verse 24, he said, ‘And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient.’ So, in dealing with people, he said, you got to be patient. People are not going to always respond as quickly as you would like them to, the way you would like them to, but you be patient with people. So, he says this is the mark of a minister of God. He says Timothy, you've seen my long suffering, my patience in various situations and circumstances as we worked with people. So how are we when we deal with people? The Bible tells us in first Corinthians chapter 13 that love is patience, so really patience is an expression or a demonstration of love for people. When we are patient with people, we’re demonstrating love towards them; that we really love them, care for them and are willing to work with them. So, patience, it's an expression of love and it's a mark of a minister of God. If you're patient, you’re not going to get irritable, you’re not going to lose it easily with people, you're going to be kind, to be gentle, tolerant as you deal with people. And that's what a minister of God must demonstrate. Let's pray, Father, we ask that you help us grow in this grace of being patient, as we work with people, that this will truly be a mark of our lives as ministers of God and how we work with people with all long suffering and patience. Thank you, Father, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
