Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Overcome (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Nancy Ramya

Hello everyone! Thank you for joining, as we look at what we need to stay in the race. Today I just want to read for us from Ephesians chapter 6 and verse 12, the beginning of that passage/ verse says, ‘for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood’. As we go through life’s journey there are many struggles and there are many battles to be won and these battles that we are talking about are spiritual battles. For us, as we win these battles, we get promoted and we move forward in the assignment that God has for us. Today I want to encourage us to keep fighting those battles, keep overcoming by the victory of the Cross and keep glorifying God. As we talk about these battles, I just want to bring to us the different enemy’s we may need to fight. There are spiritual forces, demonic principalities and authorities that we fight against and many of them could cause certain challenges for us. Not everything we face is demonic in nature, but there are several enemies that come against us so that we don’t fulfill God’s plan. Eternally, I just want to place before us, there are certain challenges that we could have in our mind, in our soul, we already know that the Bible says that the mind is the greatest battle mind; without renewal of the mind, we can face thoughts/ thought patterns that can be difficult. Sometimes we go through a sense of inadequacy/ intimidation, we could face anxiety/ lack of clarity as far as life/ vision is concerned. There could be a sense of weariness/ fatigue that takes over us, there could be a fear of failure, memories of the past that prevents us from moving forward, several distractions, attitudes of the heart, maybe unforgiveness, bitterness that we carry. The Bible also talks about fleshly weaknesses- lusts of the flesh; all of these things can be the internal struggles that a believer faces, but we already know that God has broken the power of sin over our lives. Therefore, we can overcome these enemies. There can also be external enemies- consider the life of Nehemiah, as he was building the walls of God’s people, there was temptation, there was opposition, there was several personal attacks that were made against him, but he did not get distracted through those external challenges and he stayed with the plan of completing the walls. Therefore, I just want to encourage us today, that whatever it is we face, whether an internal or external enemy, we can overcome every single one of them because Jesus has won the victory for us on the Cross. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, as your people we declare victory, no matter what each person is facing. We pray that you would deliver them that they would see the power of the Cross released upon them, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
