Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Welcome everyone! Thank you for joining, as we study God’s word together. I would like to take some time to mediate on weapons of warfare that has been given to us, God’s word, and also certain spiritual realities. The truth of God’s word reveals to us that we are victorious in any and every situation because of what Jesus has done for us.

Today, I want to take some time to consider the name of Jesus, the precious name of Jesus. I’d like to read for us from Philippians chapter 2 and verse 9, it says, ‘Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name.’ We know that the Lord Jesus lived a life of obedience to the Father and Jesus was awarded or rewarded with a name which is higher than every other name in the world or even in the heavens. Jesus has received this great name, we also know that the Lord Jesus, His name is so precious because He is the Son of God. One of the things that we have to understand about the name of Jesus is that there is authority, which is given to us through this name, we call it delegated authority. Jesus has the greatest name but when we use that name, we are representing Jesus and what He stands for and also His authority which He has given to us. So, as we fight life’s battles and as we come against demonic powers, we have the name of Jesus which makes us victorious.

As we study God’s word, there are many other instances that we can find in it about our victory through the name of Jesus. We are told that when we pray in the name of Jesus in John chapter 14, verses 13 and 14, that our prayers, they are answered. We are told that we are able to cast out demons with the authority of the name of Jesus, in Mark chapter 16 and verse 17. We are told that we are to do anything and everything in the mighty name of Jesus. What a precious thing that the Lord has done for us to give His very great name, His name of authority to His children. As we go about living this life for God, I just want to encourage us, to put our faith in that mighty name and to use that name with the authority that has been given to us.

Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you, for the precious name of Jesus, we know that as we go forward with this name that we will see the power of God demonstrated and that your name will be glorified in everything, we give you thanks and praise, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
