Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and welcome to another series of lessons from the kitchen. I've been taking you through certain routines that I go through in the kitchen, things that I have picked up, things that I have learnt in my daily routine in the kitchen. Often, we can make a very ordinary meal into something that is quite extraordinary and so something that I do at home, is make a couple of sauces so that any ordinary meal can be spiced up, can be added up, to be something more like a yummy delight. Something that I did make was a cheese sauce and I find that quite helpful when I'm serving my kids some nachos with some vegetables which they often do not eat, and it becomes quite appetizing. Or a boring pancake can be spiced up with some luscious chocolate sauce that is delectable. Hungry? Now, this reminds me of what God's word says, two Corinthians chapter four verse seven, ‘But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all- surpassing power is from God and not from us.’ This reminds me of how God uses each of us, ordinary people and makes us different, makes us powerful because of His extraordinary power. Just like I made a very casual meal into something that was extraordinary, we see a lot of people within the Bible, ordinary people that God chose and did His extraordinary thing. Some of the examples, we see are Moses, Moses was one who was an ordinary man, he fumbled, he stammered, but he was chosen as the one to bring out God's people from Egypt and God empowered him with His power, with His work and got him to do the purpose that God had planned for him. Another example that we see is Gideon, Gideon a very fearful man, but became a mighty warrior when the power of God came upon him. So, what lessons do we have today? We may feel that we are quite ordinary, but if we are in God, we know that the extraordinary power and presence of God is what makes all the difference, not just in our lives, not just in the purposes that we do, but also in the lives of others. So, if you are concerned about how ordinary your gifts and your skills are, remember when you are in the hands of God, when you have the supernatural, extraordinary power of God, you become an extraordinary work in His hands. So, tomorrow when you make your meal, make it extraordinary because you are not ordinary, you are extraordinary in Him. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you, because your power, your supernatural power makes us, the ordinary into someone extraordinary, we would want Lord by your power and by your presence, do great things for you, accomplish great purposes for you. Thank you because we do not have to do this on our own and we are created in you, for your purposes, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
