Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hi everyone, thank you so much for joining us to Living Supernaturally. I believe that the word is ministering to each one of us even as we are talking about godly discipline and how we can walk in the disciplines that God has for each one of us. Judges chapter 2, verses 11 through 14, ‘Then the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served the Baals; and they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt; and they followed other gods from among the gods of the people who were all around them, and they bowed down to them; and they provoked the LORD to anger. They forsook the LORD and served Baal and the Ashtoreths. And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel. So, He delivered them into the hands of plunderers who despoiled them; and He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, so that they could no longer stand before their enemies.’ There are many times in our lives, we look for things in the wrong places, this is what Israel did. God had brought them out of Egypt, out of bondage and slavery but the Israelites began to look for comfort and resources in the wrong places. What did Israel do that was so wicked in God’s eyes? They forsook the Lord and they worshipped other gods and the peoples around them. Judges chapter 2, verse 17 describes this as committing adultery with other gods. Many other bible passages also describe God’s people that way. The people often prefer to trade in the God of their salvation for other saviors. Disloyalty, infidelity, looking for love in the wrong places brings harsh consequences. God turned Israel over to their plunderers. God Himself turned against them. God’s response makes sense because if we abandon God in our eyes, you can expect those enemies around us to infiltrate. Paul describes the consequences of lives driven by base passions, they are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice, he writes this in Romans chapter 1, verse 29. Strangely enough, this debased mind seduces God’s people again and again. Proverbs chapter 26, verse 11 says, ‘as a dog return to its vomit, so fools return to their folly.’ The Israelites didn’t suffer because God had abandoned them, they suffered because they had abandoned God. It is as if God was saying to the later generations, be careful what your eyes wish for, you may get it. It is funny sometimes, how most of us search for God when things seem out of control in our lives. We only seek Him when we need Him or when things seem to be spiraling out of control and we may cry out, God where are you? Why are you letting this happen to me? And when He doesn’t immediately fix the problem, we may begin to think, He isn’t even there. We expect to see outright proof that He is there. The problem with this is the fact that we are not seeking God, we are seeking a solution to our problem. We end up searching for God in the wrong places, not bad places, just misplacing our focus on Him. May the Spirit of God discipline our hearts to desire what is right and look for Him in the right places. Let us pray, Father, we thank you once again for your word. We pray that each one of us will always look to you, that we will not turn our eyes away from you, for you are the God who loves us and cares for us. We pray that we will not look at the things of this world but we will set our gaze upon you and you will lead and guide us, just as a shepherd guides the sheep, you will do so for us as well. We thank you for the promise of your word. We commit everything that we are into your hands, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
