Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Life? (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Ashish Raichur

Greetings and it is our joy to come to you today and spend these few moments in God’s word and prayer. As we lead up to Christmas, we are asking intentionally a very simple question, probably a provocative question, do we still need Christmas? Is Christmas just another thing we do as part of the year end activities or is there meaning to all of this, do we still need Christmas? We ask that question; do we need life? When we talk about life, we are not talking about physical life obviously, we have physical life, we are talking about a different kind of life, a life which comes from God, which God breathes into our inner being, we are talking about the life of God. In John chapter 10, verse 10, Jesus expresses saying one of the reasons He came, ‘The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.’ So, Jesus in contrast to somebody who has come to steal and take away for our lives, He says, I have come to impart and give you life and He uses a very specific word, talking about the God kind of life, He says, I have come to give you this God kind of life. Obviously, He came to give it to us because we need that. We need this God kind of life, and He came to give it to us without measure, in abundance, as much as we can take in. He came to give us this God kind of life. So, do we need this God kind of life? what is this God kind of life and what does it do? This is the very life and the nature of God that He came to give to us. By nature, we are evil and corrupt, in debt and darkness but this life that He came to give is the very life and nature of God, you can’t find it anywhere else, you don’t find it in nature and animals or flowers, it is the quality of life that only comes from God, it is the very nature of God, the DNA of God, the quality of God, He said, I have come to give that you. In the God kind of life, has no debt, no darkness, there is no sin, shame, it is the very qualities of God that is now given to us in our inner being and given to us, it begins to extend its effect in every part of our life, in our thinking, perspectives, behavior, in our every nature, His life transforms us. The question is, do we need life from above? Jesus said, unless a man is born again or born form above, He cannot enter into the kingdom of God. In other words, we are excluded from this domain where we experience the rule and reign of God in our lives, we are excluded from it if we don’t have this God kind of life. Jesus said, I have come so that I can give this to you freely and abundantly. Do we need life? Yes, we do, the God kind of life, we need that and it is this life that we celebrate, this gift of life that we celebrate. The bible tells us that result of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. Do we still need Christmas? I think so, because we still need eternal life. Let’s pray, Lord Jesus, we worship you because you said, I am the way, the truth and the life. You are the life that we need, the eternal life, the God kind of life which you give to us abundantly. We thank you for making this life available to us and we receive you, in Jesus’s name, Amen
