Daily Devotional church in Bangalore
by Ps Ashish Raichur

Greetings and thank you for the opportunity to come to you today. As always, it’s a joy to be able to spend these few moments in God’s word and prayer. This week, we are talking about declaring the word. We are just reminding ourselves the importance of saying what God has said, speaking His word with our mouth, over our own lives, over our present and future, in every circumstance and situation. In Proverbs chapter 18, verses 20 and 21, ‘A man’s stomach (that means his innermost being) shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth (that means the words you speak are going to affect your innermost being); From the produce of his lips, he shall be filled (that means the words that come out of your mouth are actually going to come back to your life). Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.’ That means, if you speak life, your innermost being and your whole life is going to be filled with life and blessing. But if you speak death, your innermost being and your whole life is going to be filled with things that produce death, understand that! God has said that the words we speak impact us. We think that our words are harmless and it doesn’t matter but your words affect you, it affects your innermost being, it affects your whole life. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. So, what would be good words to speak? Of course, speak the promises of God, say what God has said. In every situation, you say this is what God has said. So, you are filing your innermost being and life with the word and you say God’s word will come to pass in my present and future. I’m not settling for anything less. Whatever promise God has given that is the promise I’m going to walk in and see fulfilled in my present and future. I want to fill my life with the things God has said I can have and I can walk in. So, I will keep speaking the promises of God knowing that by the fruit of my mouth, my innermost being is affected and my life is filled with the words that come out of my mouth. Keep declaring His word. Let’s pray, Father, thank you for the insights and instructions you’ve given us. Help us to live by these things, to keep speaking your word so that our present and future will be saturated with the word of God, that is what we will walk in and experience the promises of God fulfilled, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
