Welcome to Living Supernaturally. We're so glad that we could study the word of God together. The word of God is amazing, it's so rich and some of the incidents that we see there brings to life our faith in the Lord Jesus. We are exploring this topic - the miracles of the Lord Jesus and the lessons that we can learn from studying the miracles or the supernatural ministry of the Lord Jesus. Today, we are looking at how Jesus heals a leper. Matthew chapter 8, verses 1 to 4 is the text where we see that the Lord Jesus comes down from the mountain, there is a big crowd, great multitudes following him and a leper comes, a man with this condition of leprosy comes and he worships him. Now we know that people with this skin condition of leprosy, they underwent a lot of pain, a lot of discomfort physically and also socially and emotionally. It was very traumatic because they were set aside. The disease being a contagious one, they were set aside and asked not to mingle, so they were isolated. So, this person comes to Jesus and he worships Him and he says this, ‘Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.’ In other words, he was saying, Lord, I have faith in your ability, you can make me clean, I have faith in your ability, I know that you can but his question was Lord if you are willing? I'm not sure if it is your will, I'm not sure if you are willing to do this. Well, then we see that Jesus puts out His hand and touches him. This person who was a social outcast, we don't know how long since somebody touched him, but the Lord Jesus reached out His hand and touched him. This is what He says, "I am willing, be cleansed." We see that immediately this person is healed, this man was healed of this debilitating skin condition and was healed of leprosy. Jesus sends him on his way with some instruction of what he should do and he should show himself to the priest and so on. So, we learn something about the heart of God. We might be in a place where we know that God can heal, right? We know that He's all powerful, we see it in scripture and there's no doubt in our minds, can God heal? If we were to ask that question, we would say yes, God can. But the thing in our mind would be, is it His will to heal? So, this incident puts to rest that question. Is it the will of God to heal? The Lord Jesus says, "I am willing." And He reaches out and heals. It is always the will of God to heal and we also see that there is no health condition that is beyond His ability to heal.

Shall we pray? Father, we thank you, even as we looked into this incident of your healing the leper, we learned so much about your heart, your willingness and your ability. We pray today if any of us who are watching this need healing and if we are in doubt whether it is your will, let that doubt be cleared, let all unbelief be taken away, even as we extend faith and we say to our condition, to that symptom, be healed in the name of Jesus. We thank you Lord, we receive it in your name, we give you all the praise and glory, in Jesus’ matchless name we pray, Amen.
