Welcome back! Thank you for joining us on Living Supernaturally. We hope you’re having a great time journeying with the Lord. Journeying with the Lord is always amazing. We learn so many things, receive so many things and we are also able to live a supernatural life- a life above the natural life and that is God’s desire for us to live a naturally, supernatural life. We have been looking at the miracles that the Lord Jesus performed and we know that He did it by the power of the Holy Spirit and we learn so much from these. Today, we are going to look at Jesus when He moved miraculously and the miraculous catch of fish that He enabled by His power. We see this incident in Luke chapter 5, in verses 1 through 11 and this is in the lake of Gennesaret. The Lord is there by the shore and He is speaking and there are two boats at the lake and fishermen have actually done their bit, they were washing their nets, He gets into one of the boats which belonged to Simon and He says to go a little further from the land into the lake. He sits down and teaches the multitudes from the boat. After He stops speaking, He looks at Simon and says, launch into the deep and let down the net for a catch. Simon is hesitant as they had toiled all night, tried their bit and caught nothing. But Simon has the grace to say this, he says, we have toiled all night and caught nothing, nevertheless, at your word, I will let down the net. Simon Peter recognized that this instruction was from the Lord and though his physical, natural experience taught him that nothing can be caught because they had fished all night, he went beyond that. He decided to obey the instruction of the Lord which went beyond his logic and reason and he says, nevertheless, at your word, I will obey and let down the net. So, he does that and they catch the biggest load of fish of their lives, so much so that they call some partners from the other boat, they fill both the boats with fish and their boats were almost sinking the bible says. When Simon Peter sees this, he falls down, is overwhelmed at what has happened and sees that something supernatural has happened. He falls down at the feet of Jesus and says, Lord, depart from me, I am a sinful man. The Lord Jesus says, from now on you will be a fisher of men. So, we learn so may things from this and one main lesson is that we can go to the Lord and say, Lord, nevertheless at your word.

Shall we pray? Father, we thank you that some of the instructions that you give us go beyond our own reasoning and experience but today, we humble ourselves to say, nevertheless at your word, what you instruct us to do, we know that that opens the door for the supernatural and miraculous. So, nevertheless at your word, we will obey. Give us the grace to do that and empower us by your Spirit to do this very thing so we can experience the supernatural and miraculous, we thank you, in Jesus’ matchless name we pray, Amen.
