Daily Devotional church in Bangalore
by Ps Nancy Ramya

Welcome back friends, it's good to be with you once again. We're talking about our God and the hope that we have in Him. We will continue to meditate on hope once again. Let's read Romans chapter five and verse five, ‘Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.’ By the Holy Spirit, both hope and love have been poured out into our hearts. We've talked about hope earlier and I just want us to also look at Romans chapter 14 and verse 17, it says ‘for the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.’ The Kingdom of God is full of righteousness, peace, joy, and we've seen about hope and love as well. God only wants to release hope into our hearts and for us to know that if we are experiencing ruin, destruction, the end of the road, He is a God of redemption. Talking about the life of Abraham in Romans chapter four and verse 17 we read that ‘God is a God who calls those things that do not exist as though they did.’ Where there is no life, our God speaks life. In the deadness, we see His life springing forth. His kingdom is a kingdom of all hope. I want to remind us that we who are part of His kingdom, the scriptures tell us that we have been redeemed from the Kingdom of darkness and brought into the Kingdom of light, of His son, Jesus Christ. We can find hope in what Jesus has done on the cross for us and we can speak life into our circumstances. In His kingdom, God wants us to know that no matter what happens to us, that is not the end. As long as we are seeing through the eyes of our God and His word, God is able to restore, God is able to bring life even to the dead things. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, as we belong to the Kingdom of hope, joy, righteousness, and peace, we pray that these things will abound in our lives and that we will be carriers of this hope into the lives of other people, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
