Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Jesus Heals (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Nancy Ramya

Hello friends, trust that you are learning something through these daily devotionals. We’ve been talking about the character of God, the nature of Jesus and the fact that the Lord Jesus has come to fulfill the mandate of the Father. We’ve talked about ‘sozo’ or salvation that has been provided for us through the Cross of Calvary. Today I want to specifically want to talk about the fact that the Lord Jesus ministered healing through His earthly ministry, but He also wanted healing to touch the lives of those who believe in Him after He had paid the price for our sins.

Let’s just look at a couple of scriptures here, Mathew chapter 14 and verse 4 says, ‘And when Jesus went out, He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them and healed their sick.’ We’ve already said that the character of God is immutable and so what Jesus did during His earthly ministry is something we can expect Him to do right now for us. We see here that He was moved with compassion for the people, why? Because He saw many who were sick, who came forward to meet with Him and to experience His power. How did He respond or how did His compassion play out in the lives of those who were sick? We notice that He took the next step which is to heal those who were sick. Let’s also look at another scripture here, this is Mathew chapter 12 and verse 15, we read, ‘But when Jesus knew it, He withdrew from there. And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all.’ Again, during the times of Jesus, just like how we have it now, there were several people who were seeking for bodily healing, and they were brought to Jesus. So, what was Jesus’s response? In the second verse that I read, we see that he healed them all, He healed them all. There could have been conditions which were simple by the standards of man, there could have been conditions which were really complicated by the standards of man, there could have been conditions that were probably not named and even today we have similar circumstances and situations where people are struggling with all kinds of sicknesses. What can we expect Jesus to do today? Because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The way Jesus healed everyone who came to Him, even today we can expect healing in our physical bodies; without any partiality or categorization, Jesus will heal all. That is what we can expect the Lord Jesus to do when we come to Him looking for the healing work of the cross.

I just want to remind us that Jesus is the express image of the Father. The way the Father introduced Himself as ‘Jehovah Rapha’- the covenant God of healing, Jesus continued to do that work of healing for us. Healing is known as the children’s bread in scripture. If you are a believer in the Lord Jesus, I just want to encourage you, that even those who were not part of the covenant when we study scripture, the centurion and the Canaanite woman, their families and their loved ones also could receive healing because of their faith. How much more us who are part of the covenant. Go ahead, trust Him and you will see His healing work in your body.

Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you that you have released your healing for the children; healing is the children’s bread and by faith we receive that into our bodies. Today, I pray let pain be removed, let discomfort be removed and let there be a supernatural turnaround for various sicknesses and medical conditions. Thank you that you still are our healer, let your blessing be upon your people, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
