Greetings! and thank you for another opportunity to be able to come your way and spend this time in the word of God and prayer. This week, we're talking about resurrection power and the power that's available to us who believe, as the apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians chapter 1, verse 20, he said, ‘I want you to know the exceeding greatness of His power, to us who believe’ and that's what we want to unravel, uncover this week. What is that power and how that power works in us? In Ephesians chapter one, Paul prayed for the Ephesians, he says, I want you to know how great this power is, that is available to us who believe. Then he continues repeating or talking about this power again in his epistles to the Ephesians. So, we pick up in Ephesians chapter three, verse 16 and he says, ‘I'm praying for you, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, and I prayed for you that He will grant to you according to the riches of His glory, that you will be strengthened with might, with power through His spirit in the inner man.’ This resurrection power that Paul referenced in Ephesians chapter 1, as he continues talking about that power of God available to us, he says, I'm praying that you will be strengthened with might, with power by His spirit in your inner man. So, what does resurrection power do for us? One of the things he says here is this, we are strengthened in our inner man by this resurrection power. Just think about that, our inner man is so important, Paul writes, though our outward man perish, the inner man is being renewed day by day, meaning as we journey through life, of course there is the wear and tear in our physical bodies and we are growing old physically, but the inner man is being rejuvenated, the inner man is being strengthened, it's being energized, with what? He says here, with the same power that comes from the Spirit, it's the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit, is making available to us in our inner man. And so, you and I are strengthened in our inner man with resurrection power. So, your inner man is being strengthened, your inner man should be strengthened with the power that comes from the Holy Spirit, the resurrection power of God. So, when you and I face the challenges of life and the outer man gets tired, what can we do? Our inner man can be renewed in strength, our inner man can be resourced over and over and over again with a limitless supply of resurrection power which comes from the Holy Spirit because Paul said that is the power that God has made available to work for us. So, remind yourself of this one thing, your inner man is being strengthened with the resurrection power that comes from the Holy Spirit, its life giving power, it's the quickening power of God coming into your inner man and that power, as we will see in the coming days touches every aspect of who we are. But remember today your inner man is being strengthened with resurrection power. Let's pray, Father, even as Paul prayed, we ask that you grant to each of us according to your riches and glory, that we will be strengthened with the resurrection power by your Spirit in our inner man. Let the resurrection power of God fill our inner person and we receive it. We declare that our inner man is being strengthened with resurrection power and we choose to live out of that power you make available to us, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
