Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Welcome everyone! We continue to talk about a devoted heart. As we talk about a devoted heart, the first thing that comes to our mind is a heart that is passionately loving towards God and that is the kind of heart that we must maintain. We usually refer to the example of Mary and Martha; when Jesus came to their home, one of them was busy serving the Lord with all her activities whereas the other one, just loved to be in the presence of God and spend time with God. So, Mary took that place and Jesus was delighted by the posture that she took. God is always delighted when He sees us loving Him passionately and that is something that God always wants for us. In Revelations chapter 2, verses 4 and 5, here is what God had to tell one of the churches, He said, ‘Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.’ God was reminding one of the churches that was doing so well in the ministry, doing different things that they were called to do but they were being reminded about doing it from a place of loving God, from a place of first love which really defines that place of intimacy, that place of passionate love between God and the church. This first love is then connected to the first works which were done out of passionate love for God. So, from this passage, we are not saying that God is not interested in us serving Him and that our works are futile, that is not the point. The point is that we must serve Him from a place of passionately loving Him and that is the reminder that we have from what God spoke to this particular church. From time to time, it is important for us to check our hearts and see if we are burning with passion for the Kingdom of God, for the presence of God, and for His love. If there be somethings that are slowing us down or making us dull, to really check those things and deal with those things and pray and ask the Lord to help us so that once again, we are filled with that devotion, that loving heart towards God. When we consider our relationship with God, the bible gives us a picture and that picture is of Jesus being our bridegroom and us as a church, being the bride and we know that in this relationship, the bride waits for the return of her Savior, the Lord Jesus. She waits passionately, she waits lovingly, she waits with an expectant heart and that is the kind of heart we need towards our Savior, to be passionately loving Him at all times and also passionately seeking His return. Let’s pray that God would give us a loving heart of this kind. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for the great love which you have showered on us, that you have called us your children. We pray that you will help us to love you back with everything that we have, with all our hearts, with all our mind, with all our strength. Give us a heart that always loves you passionately, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
