Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Immutable (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Nancy Ramya

Welcome friends, we are talking about the life of the Lord Jesus, His ministry and also the fact that He commissions His disciples to represent Him. Today, we will continue to look at the life of Jesus and also compare it with the God of the Bible that we know.

In the Old covenant and in the New Testament, the way God revealed Himself, we will look at the fact that in the life of Jesus we see the same God, doing the same mighty works, with the same heart towards His people. When we consider the character of God, we recognize that God is immutable, which means that God does not change His character over time. If He has spoken and said that He is a God who loves, He continues to be the God who loves, if He has spoke and said that he is the God of justice, He continues to be the God of justice, if He has spoken in His word that He is the God of holiness, He continues to be the God of holiness. God doesn’t change His mind about His character, and we see that His character is very much in line with His will. His will is very much in line with His word and His word is in line with His deeds. What we can expect God to do, is in line with the character of God.

As we look back at the scriptures and we see how God has introduced Himself, we see that He is, Jehovah Rapha- the covenant God of healing for His people In the Old Testament, we also see scriptures like Psalms chapter 145, verses 8 and 9, where we read, ‘The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy. The LORD is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works.’ We see the picture of a compassionate and a merciful God and a God who is already introduced Himself as Jehovah Rapha- the Lord who heals us. As we consider, the Lord Jesus, Hebrews chapter 1 and verse 3 puts it this way and says, ‘He is the perfect image of the Father.’ In Jesus, we find everything that the Father is, in other words, the character of the Father is displayed in the Lord Jesus. We wouldn’t find anything in Jesus which is not there in the Father. If at all, the Lord Jesus were to choose a sickness over healing and put that on people, we could say there is no integrity in the character of who the Father is and who the Lord Jesus is. However, we know there is integrity, God has not changed, the nature of God is immutable. He continues to be the same and He stands by His word and His deeds are in line with His word. So, we can safely see the life of Jesus and say that He did the works of the Father, the works of compassion, the works of mercy, the works of restoration, binding up and healing people, delivering people, bringing the goodness of God into people’s lives. Today we can stand confidently on Gods word which says Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. We serve an immutable God, and He stands firm on His word when He brings salvation to His people. Today, I just want to encourage us if you are believing for healing in your bodies would you just pray together with me and trust God to heal your body.

Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you that you are a healer, even today as we look to you, I pray and declare wholeness in the bodies of people, let miracles take place because you haven’t changed, we release your power in the name of Jesus, Amen.
