Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello and welcome to living supernaturally. This week we are going to be looking at a brand-new series called God imitators. We are God's children and if that was not a privileged enough, God has invited us and called us to imitate Him, to be just like Him. We know that children actually tried to be like their parents, if you look at the behavior of the child, if you look at the speech of the child, you can be sure that one of the parents or both the parents behave like that or speak like that and it's such a privilege that God has called us to be His Children and He has called us to imitate Him. Ephesians chapter five and verse one says, ‘therefore be imitators of God as dear children.’ Three John and verse 11 issues a warning, it says, ‘beloved, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God.’ So, we are called to be like Him, we are called to model the Lord and follow Him, copy, mimic and follow Him closely. Now one of the aspects that we are called to follow Him, is to love like Him. Love with the love that He has given us, and the bible declares that this kind of love is called agape, it's a love that is unconditional, it is a God kind of love, it is a love that does depend on performance but it's an unconditional love. So, let's look at one Corinthians chapter 13 and verses 4 to 8 which describes this kind of love, and as people who are imitators of God, we are called to display this love in our lives each and every day. So, one Corinthians chapter 13 and verse four says, ‘love suffers long and is kind; in other words, love is patient and its kind. So, in our display of love, we are called to be patient and kind and this kind of love does not envy, it is not proud, it is does not parade itself, it does not behave rudely, it does not seek its own, which means that it is not selfish, it is not provoked, does not think evil, does not rejoice in iniquity or sin, but rejoices in the truth. And this love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. And this love never runs out or never fails. The best part is this, we see that God has given us His love in our hearts and we read this in Romans chapter five and verse five, that the Holy Spirit has poured out the love of God into our hearts. And this God kind of love, this agape is given for us so that we will display it in our lives. Now if you see, it does not say love those who love us only, there is no condition like that, because God loves the unlovable, God loves even those who do not reciprocate that love. And that's the kind of love that we are called to display. So, when we walk in this love, we will be imitators of God, we will be walking just like Him. So even as we pray today, let's pray and ask God to help us, to enable us, to empower us to walk in this kind of love because we are called to imitate Him. Let's pray, Father, we thank you that you poured out your love into our hearts and it is for this purpose, that we might imitate you, in the display of this love, when we meet with people, when we meet with family, when we meet with everyone around, that we will show forth this love, the God kind of love, we thank you, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
