Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

I have decided to follow Jesus, I have decided to follow Jesus, I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back, no turning back, no turning back, no turning back.

Hello and welcome to Living Supernaturally. In this series, we're going to look at some of the songs that have blessed the church and we pray that just knowing about these songs and knowing about the songwriter will bless you as well. Ephesians chapter five and verses 18 and 19 it says, ‘do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.’ This song, ‘I have decided’, the origins of the words of this song are not really clear. There are several theories and several credits, it's not conclusive but some say that it was Sadhu Sundar Singh who wrote these words. Another account is that there was a person by name Simon K. Marach, a schoolteacher, a pastor from the Garo hills of northeast India and it was him, it was he who wrote this song, and he taught us to his children and when they got married and when they moved, they taught it to their families as well. Another account is that years after the Welsh revival, there were some missionaries who came to India and they did some work in the northeast part of India, among the Garo tribes and one of the young men who came to the Lord was by name, Knox Sang, so he and his family came to the Lord Jesus and the chief of the tribe, when he came to know about this, he was very angry and he called the whole family out and he asked Knox Sang to renounce his faith in Jesus, he said recant your faith, renounces your faith and Knox Sang said no, he said I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back, no turning back. His two sons, his two children were killed by the chief and again he asked him the question will you renounce Jesus? Knox Sang again said though none go with me, still I will follow, no turning back, no turning back and his wife was killed and for the third time he was asked the question again, will you renounce Jesus? And he said the world behind me, the cross before me, no turning back, no turning back. He was martyred for his faith. Now the story goes that the chief got so curious when he saw the faith of Knox Sang in someone who lived 2000 years back and why he was so passionate about this Jesus. So, he got curious, and he came to know about Jesus, had an encounter and he became a believer himself. So, these are some accounts that we have about this song. But the question is, how strong is our commitment to the Lord? Are we saying no turning back, no turning back.

Though none go with me still I will follow, though none go with me still I will follow, though none go with me still I will follow, no turning back, no turning back.

Shall we pray? Father, we pray that you will give us such faith, that we will stand strong in the face of opposition, in the face of persecution, that our commitment to the truth of your word, to the truth of who you are, God will be strong, and we will be able to declare, no turning back, no turning back. Lord, strengthen us, strengthen our faith today, even as we go about doing everything in the places where you have placed us. May our lives boldly declare, no turning back, no turning back, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
