Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and welcome to another episode of Living Supernaturally. We've been going through this series of just learning and understanding about the timing of God. There may be many of us who may be waiting for something, waiting for God to act on something and today, we want to bring another hope to you that there is a comforting truth that really anchors our souls which is hope that we find and that we have in the promises of God. We see in scripture that God is faithful and that His promises come with certainty. So, we're going to be reflecting on the hope we have in God's promises as we await His timing. Hebrews chapter 10, verse 23 reads, ‘let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.’ The words in this verse, ‘hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering’, the word hold fast means to cling tightly, to have a really firm grip on the promises of God, it's a call to faith that is unwavering, to stand firm in trusting in God's promises regardless of what you may be feeling or what you may be seeing. This requires determination, perseverance especially sometimes when the waiting may be prolonged or when it may be long. So, I'd like you to imagine, maybe a ship in the sea that is tossed around by the storm, what keeps it firmly fastened on the ocean floor is the anchor, that keeps it steady even in the midst of all the waves and the storm. Similarly, the hope we have in God's promises is the anchor in the storms that come our way, it keeps us steady and secure even when our circumstances may seem uncertain. So, why should we hold unswervingly to this hope? The verse tells us because God is faithful, He who promised is faithful, our hope is not based on our own wishful thinking or on human effort but it is based on the character of God. God is faithful, He is trustworthy, He is true to His word. Every promise that He has made is backed by His unchanging nature and His perfect record of His faithfulness. So, as you and I, wait on the promise of God, let us take comfort in what He has said in His promises. Let us cling to it, hold fast with faith, knowing that God who is faithful will fulfill every word He has spoken. Whether you're waiting for healing, for provision, for deliverance, for a breakthrough, for guidance you can trust that His timing is perfect and that His promises are sure. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, as a ship on a raging sea that has its anchor on the ocean floor, even as we wait, Lord we put and we place our surety and our anchor on your word and on your promises, knowing God that we can trust you who is faithful and Lord whatever you have promised is something that you will ensure that comes to us. Father, may we wait knowing that you will accomplish all that your word has been sent forth for, thank you once again, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
