Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much once again for this opportunity to come together, minister God’s word and pray. This week, we’ve been talking about trusting in God. Mark chapter 4, verses 37 through 40, ‘And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”’ Taking a leisurely boat ride might sound like a good idea in the summer sun but during the ancient times, people viewed the sea as a place of chaos and evil forces. Crossing the water could be dangerous because of poor boat construction and lack of navigation and communication devices. Unexpected storms often led to tragedies. Today, we read about a boat ride that went terribly wrong. A furious squall came out of nowhere and the waves broke the boat and water came swamping in. Imagine how the disciples must have felt in the midst of that furious squall. The disciples, some of whom were experienced fishermen were desperately afraid. I’m sure that life jackets as we know them, didn’t exist. Water is swamping in the boat and yet in the midst of all this chaos and confusion, they saw Jesus was asleep. Jesus was resting. They woke Him up virtually accusing Him of their fate. Jesus woke up, rebuked the storm, commanding it to be silent. The winds ceased and a great calm followed. Then Jesus challenged them to trust in Him. When Jesus gave orders to go on to the other side, He knew the storm was coming. He is omniscient, even with the storm brewing, He decided to launch put into the sea. The Lord never promised that we will never see a storm in our life, rather, He has promised that He will be with us in the storm. He will never leave His children alone in the midst of trouble. With perseverance, they will overcome. When Jesus said, peace, be still, there was a great calm all of a sudden. Normally, after a storm, there is such a flood of water that it takes a while for the storm to settle down. However, when Christ spoke the word, not only did the storm cease, but all the effects of it died, leaving Jesus’s disciples to be marveled. Have there been times in your life, when you faced a storm and it seemed that Jesus didn’t even notice? Were there times you were not sure whether you would survive the storm or maybe you are in the storm right now. Invite Jesus into your storm, trust Him to be with you and He will do what is best. Let us pray, Father, we thank you for your word and what we have learnt today that through every storm, you are a God who will do miracles. We pray that we will put our trust in you, even when things look like its going bad, help us, enable us to look to you and we know that you will always do what is best for us. Help us to trust in you, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
