Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Oh, what a wonderful, wonderful day, day I will never forget, after I'd wandered in darkness away, Jesus, my savior I met. Oh, what a tender, compassionate friend, He met the need of my heart, shadows dispelling, with joy I am telling, He made all the darkness depart, Heaven came down and glory filled my soul, when at the cross, my savior made me whole, my sins were washed away and my night was turned to day, heaven came down and glory filled my soul.

I hope you're having a wonderful day. Welcome to another edition of Living Supernaturally. We have been looking at some of the songs that have cheered us, that has encouraged us and one such song is, ‘oh what a wonderful day or Heaven came down’. Heaven came down is relatively a hymn of recent origin because it was written in 1961 by a person named John W. Peterson. This happened because at the Montrose bible conference grounds, there was a meeting and an elderly gentleman named Jim, we don't know his surname, he was giving his testimony and during the testimony, he talked of his conversion experience, and he described it in this phrase. He said, it seemed like heaven came down and glory filled my soul. It seemed like heaven came down and glory filled my soul. Maybe you're a new believer, maybe you're a believer for many years and I just want us to go back and recall that moment, when you invited Jesus into your heart, and you became a new creation, and old things were taken away and all things became new. Maybe because of some of the things happening in your life, you begin to doubt that you begin to doubt that salvation experience, or maybe because of all the things happening, you begin to think, did that really happen? Was it really worth it? Well, first Peter chapter one and verse 23 says that ‘you were born again, you and I were born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever.’ Something significant, something supernatural, something eternal happened when you and I received Jesus into our hearts. Ephesians chapter one and verse 13 and 14 says ‘in Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation;’ So indeed, heaven came down, the Lord Jesus, the Holy Spirit came and indwelt us when we were born again.

Heaven came down and glory filled my soul, when at the cross, my savior made me whole, my sins were washed away, and my night was turned to day, heaven came down and glory filled my soul.

Shall we pray? Father, we thank you! What a wonderful savior and what a wonderful day when you O God opened our eyes and when we invited you into our hearts, into our lives. We thank you for that day and we thank you for this day for you are still the same. Lord, we pray that we will march on journey on with your joy in our hearts, strengthening us, fulfilling the plans and purposes that you have for us. We thank you, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
