Hello everyone. Today, we will talk about a very important ingredient for a good relationship and that is trust. Now in our normal relationships we must strive to build trust. Proverbs chapter 11, verse 13, it says, ‘a gossip betrays confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret’. It's talking about a trustworthy person. Trustworthy person is someone who can be trusted with something as sensitive as a secret. And we know that as we interact with people, as we move with people, there are many things that come up where you and I have to prove to be trustworthy and this would really build the relationship. When we consider the life of Jesus, He chose 12 disciples and one of the things that would have really hurt Him in those difficult times when He was just about to be tried and tested was the betrayal of Judas. And that was a very difficult thing that happened in the life of Jesus. Someone that He trusted but Judas betrayed His trust. We see how that impacted the relationship between Judas and Jesus, but Jesus still forgave him. We know that God's heart is a heart of redemption and God definitely would have hoped for Judas to make it right but unfortunately, we see that things did not go in that direction. But it was just an example for us to see that even Jesus faced betrayal and as we take this up seriously, you and I can be people who can be trustworthy in all the relationships that God gives us. Now especially when it comes to the work situation, the Bible calls for us to be faithful. 1 Corinthians chapter 4 and verse 2 says, "Moreover, it is required in stewards that one be found faithful." This means that a steward must ensure that they are taking care of whatever has been given to them, that they are making sure that they are causing those things to increase and they are making sure that whatever has been handed to them is protected and so this is the expectation that a master would have from his steward. And in the work situation or in the ministry situation or in any particular situation when we have been entrusted with responsibilities, you and I can be people who are faithful and who are able to do these things, to do those tasks well and to be fruitful in whatever has been assigned to us. And God is able to strengthen us to be people who are trustworthy and we can depend on Him. And one of the ways in which we can really work on any weakness that we may have to go back to the word of God, meditate in it and work on our renewed mind and also take time to pray in the Spirit. Praying in the Spirit, as the scriptures talk about the fire, burning up the chaff, the Spirit of God in us will burn up every weakness. So, let's commit ourselves to the Lord and help us be those trustworthy people. Let's pray together, Father, we believe that you have called us to put your glory on display. And so, Lord, help us to be people who are always trustworthy and even as we do this, we know that our relationships will be blessed and they will thrive, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
