Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Healing (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Ashish Raichur

Greetings! and thank you for giving us the opportunity to come to you today, spend a few moments in the word of God and just pray with you. This week, we are looking at the provisions of the cross, what our Lord Jesus made available to us through His finished work on the cross. Today, we want to remind ourselves that healing has been provided for us, through Christ's death on the cross. The Bible tells us in Isaiah chapter 53, it says ‘He took upon Himself our sins, in His own body, and by His stripes you are healed.’ In 1 Peter chapter 2, he says, ‘by whose stripes you were healed.’ Both in Isaiah and Peter by the Holy Spirit writing that, talks about the fact that we have been healed. Some people may question whether healing is in the atonement and I think the best way to respond to that is that Mathew the eighth chapter, verses 16 and 17 where the bible tells us that ‘they brought to Jesus all those who are sick or demon possessed and He cast out the spirits with a word and He healed all who were sick, in order to fulfill what Isaiah had written: “He himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.”’ This is quoted from Isaiah chapter 53, verse four. The writer of Mathew saying Jesus healed people, this was physical healing, He healed them physically, He delivered them from demonic powers in order to fulfill what Isaiah had written He would accomplish on the cross and He was giving them a down payment, a foretaste, in advance of what He would fulfill on the cross. This absolutely clears any doubt that healing, bodily healing, deliverance for our bodies, deliverance for our minds from demonic powers is a finished work, is part of the finished work of Jesus on the cross. So, what did Jesus provide for us on the cross? He provided healing, physical healing for our bodies and that's why you and I can affirm and say by His stripes, we have been healed. So, healing has been provided for and we receive healing through the cross, the same way we receive forgiveness of sins through the cross, by believing that Jesus has done it for us and therefore we receive it by faith. So, we want to take a moment to pray, I'm going to pray a very simple prayer, but by faith we're going to say Lord, we receive healing for our bodies because we believe that you took our sicknesses and bore our diseases so that by your stripes, we have been healed. This very moment, I want you to expect the power of God to touch you and heal you, if that's what you need in your body and your mind right now. Let's take a moment to pray and receive the provision of healing through the cross of Jesus Christ, Father, we thank you that Jesus took our sicknesses and bore our diseases so that by His stripes, we have been healed. In Jesus name, I command every sickness, disease, infirmity, chronic condition to leave the bodies of those listening, I command healing for them, on the authority of Christ's cross and what He finished for us on the cross, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
