Daily Devotional church in Bangalore
by Ps Ashish Raichur

Greetings and thank you for the opportunity to come to you today and spend these few moments in the word and prayer. This week, we are talking about sowing and reaping. A law or a principle that God has established on this earth and it will continue as long as this earth remains. So, we must understand this principle of sowing and reaping, of seed time and harvest and then make use of it, put it into action, it will always work, it is a principle that God has put on this earth. The thought I want us to consider today is seed time or harvest is multiplication. The harvest follows seed time and the harvest is always a multiplication of what you’ve sown. In agriculture, the farmer sows a seed which grows into a plant, crop or tree and there is always a multiplication of that one seed. There is always an increase. So, understand that when you sow seed, it leaves your hand, it doesn’t leave your life, it goes into your future, there is a harvest coming and the harvest is always a multiplication of what you’ve sown. That should encourage us, motivate us and that is what motivates the farmer. Imagine if the farmer is always going to get one equals one, he sows one seed and gets one, would he motivated to till the land, sow the seed and do all that hard work? No, he won’t. What’s the point? He knows that his seed time is going to give a harvest and that is always a multiplication of what he has sown, that is his motivation. We are motivated by the fact that the harvest is a multiplication and it is a godly motivation because it is God who has set the principle in place for our benefits and we are motivated by the principle knowing that the harvest is always a multiplication and an increase, more beyond than what you’ve sown and that is a godly motivation, there is nothing wrong to expect a harvest. You will never find a farmer who works hard and says I’m not expecting harvest. He works hard because he is expecting a harvest and the harvest is multiplication and that is a good motivation and we should be motivated there by. A God given principle for us to use. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for the principle of sowing and reaping. The harvest brings multiplication. Help us to engage that and employ that so that we can serve you well and glorify you, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
