Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings, this is the day the Lord has made, and we will rejoice and be glad in it. This is the day the Lord has made, it's a time for us to find joy in the Lord, no matter what is happening, the Lord is the source of our joy, and we can rejoice, we can be glad today. This week, we are talking about having faith for the future. One of the things that causes people to be afraid of the future is this presupposition that bad things are going to happen. For whatever reason, they already assume that something bad is going to happen in the future, they may not be able to pinpoint it, they may not be able to describe it, they may not be able to say what it is, but they just have this negative view, and we call it pessimism about the future, they are pessimistic, that means they already think bad things are going to happen. Some people are like that, I'm not saying everybody, but some people are like that. For the rest of us sometimes, we can get such kind of thoughts, we may not necessarily be always pessimistic, but from time to time, these thoughts that something bad will happen in the future come to our minds and therefore we can become fearful about the future, about what is still ahead of us, which we haven't yet entered into and we have no knowledge about, but we become fearful of that. What do we do? What do the scriptures say? I want to remind you of what the Bible says in Psalm chapter 23 and verse six, the psalmist, he's affirming his faith in the Lord being his shepherd, he's drawing this beautiful picture of God being the shepherd of his life, just as the shepherd takes care of the sheep and leads the sheep and protects the sheep and make sure the sheep gets his food and everything, he says, that's how God is, the Lord is my shepherd and he ends that Psalm with this beautiful ring of assurance, he says, surely goodness and mercy, mercy is the compassion, the loving kindness of God, surely goodness and mercy will follow me, all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. So, what he's saying? He's saying, I'm assured of one thing or this thing that every day of my life, goodness and mercy will follow me or accompany me or be my portion, will be in my life. So, when you and I wake up, say God thank you, today, goodness and mercy will follow me, today, my day is filled with the goodness of the mercy of God. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days, not some days, not a few days, but all the days of my life, because that's my assurance because the Lord is my shepherd. You and I must learn to speak like that, so, when you think about something out of the future that's causing your fear, you say no, no, no, no, the bible says, surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days, even those days of my life, I have that assurance. The Lord God is a sun and a shield, He will give grace and glory and no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly, Psalms chapter 84, verse 11. Be assured, God's got good things in store for you, His goodness is guaranteed. Let's pray, Father, we thank you that we could say, surely goodness and mercy will follow us all the days, every day of our lives because you are our shepherd, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
