Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hi everyone, welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to minister God’s word and spend a few moments in prayer. This week, we are talking about confession and yesterday, we looked at how confession is good for the body. Today, we will look at confession is good for the soul. Psalm chapter 51, verses 2 and 3, ‘Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.’ Any musician will speak with passion about the instrument that he/ she is playing. They not only hear the music but you feel it, it resonates with your spirit and heart and here Psalm chapter 51 is written by Israel’s king David. It resonates in penitent hearts. Confession as a spiritual discipline must be mastered. It is the foundation of our relationship with God, but confession needs to be honest, self-awareness without which we cannot grow spiritually. If we are not aware of it, then we are just fooling ourselves trying to keep secrets from God by ignoring our sins within. Psalm chapter 51 was David’s confession after the prophet Nathan pointed out the king’s sin of adultery and murder. David knew he had to confess his sins. He says, ‘Create in me a clean heart, O God and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away form thy presence O Lord and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation and renew a right spirit within me.’ The pronouns, ‘me’, ‘my’ and ‘I’ emphasize taking personal responsibility and not just slipping it into a general prayer of confession. This is not about groveling in self-pity and trying to get by with denial, we are just being honest with God, confessing our sins and God is gracious to forgive us. Disciplined confession reminds us that all sin is against God, whether big or small. We apologize to people we offend but we confess to God that we’ve offended His image in others. Then God cleanses us, He washes us inside and out, He creates in us a new heart and a new spirit. Today, let us believe that you and I can run to His presence and find confession, we don’t have to stay in guilt or shame, we can let go of it at the cross. Let us pray, Father, we thank you for your word today that we have studied. We thank you for your presence that enables us and teaches us. Help us to be open and transparent in our lives, you are a God who sees us through, you know every aspect of our lives and we pray that you will enable us to come into your presence with an open heart and mind. Thank you for your grace that you choose to forgive us every time we come into your presence, we give you all the praise and glory, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
