Welcome to Living Supernaturally. We're so glad that you could be here today. Living
Supernaturally is the daily devotion of All People's church, where we look at God's word and
study God's word with the intention of applying it so that we can experience the power of
God's word in our lives and we can do this daily. As we look at God's word today, we've been
studying the promises of God. There are literally thousands of promises in God's word and
these are for us today. So, for us to be informed of these promises, for us to get a revelation of
these promises and these promises as we receive them, they give us faith. God's word produces
faith in us and by faith, we can receive and walk in these promises because God is a God who
not only makes these promises but He fulfills these promises in our lives. So, we go to
Deuteronomy chapter 31 where Moses receives this promise from God and speaks it to Joshua
and the Israelites as they prepare to enter the promised land. This promise from God assures
them and reassures them that God will be with them in whatever challenges they might face
ahead of them. Deuteronomy chapter 31 and verse 8 ‘and the Lord, He is the one who goes
before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be
dismayed.’ The Lord is the one who goes before you. So, in other words, even before you face
that mountain, the Lord faces it before you. Even before you face that bad report, the Lord
faces it before you. Even before you face that challenge, that work of the enemy, the Lord faces
it before you. So, it says here, He is the one who goes before you, He will be with you which
means that He is by our side, He is with us so that should give us so much of strength. Like a
child which is reassured greatly reassured by the presence of the parents. We might have
experienced that; the child is distraught and is upset and crying and cannot be comforted
because the child is seeking the presence of his or her parents. And as soon as the parents
appear on the scene, we see a complete calm and a great sense of peace in the child. The child
comes to a place of peace and assurance and is comforted and the Lord is comforting and
promising and He's saying "I will be with you." He's the one who goes before us. So, He faces
those challenges even before we face them and He's the one who is with us and the Lord
promises that He will never leave us nor forsake us. So, we are never forsaken, so we don't
have to be fearful and we don't have to be dismayed. In fact, the Lord Jesus promises and He
says that He will never leave us nor forsake us. Shall we pray? Father, we thank you that we are
never forsaken because you're the one who goes before us and you are the one who is with us
Lord. You have promised us that you will never leave us, never forsake us. Father, we thank you
for this great love that you have for us. We thank you that you put your everlasting arms
around us. We thank you, we give you all praise and all glory, with gratitude we give you
thanks, in Jesus’ matchless name we pray, Amen.
