Hello and welcome back to Living Supernaturally. We're so glad that we could study God's word
together so that we can apply it in our lives and also experience the truth of the power of God's word
daily. We are going to study God's word right now and we're going to look at the fact that the scripture/
God's word, the Bible has many promises. God promises man and He's a promise maker and He's also a
promise keeper; He brings the promises to fulfillment. The bible is full of promises and so we can look at
a promise a day and ask God to fulfill that in our lives. So, today we're going to look at a promise which
talks about His help and how He brings help and how He brings strength into our lives. We're looking at
Isaiah chapter 41 and verse 10, this is God's promise to us, ‘Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed,
for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right
hand.’ In context, God is reassuring the people of Israel during their exile. This is during their exile, they
are under a foreign ruler and strange, foreign circumstances, uncomfortable, they cannot go back to
their land and during that time, God reassures the people and He says "I am with you, do not be
dismayed." So, He promises His presence, He promises His strength and He promises His help to His
people. This promise also emphasizes that God's unwavering support is there in times of fear and in
times of distress. So, His word/ His promise comes to His people where He says, ‘fear not for I am with
you’ and we can we can take this to ourselves and say this is God's promise to us, His people. We are His
people and He's called us to be His friends and this is what we see and He's saying, ‘fear not, for I am
with you.’ The Lord is saying, fear not, do not be afraid. Are you facing a situation which is causing fear
in your lives, which is bringing fear into your lives and bringing hopelessness into your life? The Lord
says, ‘fear not, for I am with you.’ He has promised His presence to each one of us and He's saying, be
not dismayed. To be dismayed is to be concerned and to be dismayed is to be distressed the Lord is
saying "Be not dismayed, I'm your God, I will strengthen, I will help, I will uphold you with my righteous
right hand." Shall we say yes to Him and let's pray? Father, we thank you for this wonderful promise that
you are with us, that you will help us. You're asking us not to be dismayed, not to be concerned, not to
be distressed because you are with us. Not only are you with us but you will help us, you will uphold us,
you will lift us up with your righteous right hand. We thank you for this promise, we thank you that
you're the promise keeper, we give you all praise and glory even as we give thanks, in Jesus’ name we
pray, Amen.
