Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and it is wonderful to have you come alongside with us to listen, learn and to mediate from God’s word. We trust that each of these devotions are helping you walk closer to God. For this coming series of devotions this week, we are going to be looking at restoration. Let’s look at the meaning of restoration, it is a return of something to its former, original, a normal and an unimpaired condition or it is a restitution of something that is lost. We know and the bible tells us that one of the biggest attributes of God is that He is the restorer. Our God is the restorer and you would see this theme being prevalent in the bible. God has a specific intent, the bible says that God’s intent is to redeem, to heal and to restore creation to His intended purpose and beauty. Reading from scripture, Deuteronomy chapter 30, verse 3, ‘then the LORD your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you and gather you again from all the nations where he scattered you.’ When we look at the context of this verse, we see that Moses is reiterating a covenant with the Israelites and God and he is detailing the blessings of obedience and the curses of disobedience. Moses is actually speaking prophetically to a time when the Israelites would have faced the consequences of disobedience that results from them being scattered among the nations. However, this chapter also carries that hope, it carries those blessings of obedience, that hope, that redemption that comes when they return to God after a period of disobedience and exile. This is a place when Moses assures the Israelites that even if they are scattered through the farthest parts of the earth due to their disobedience, if they turn back and if they obey Him, He will gather them and restore them. It is a promise of restoration of Israel and this is so tied to their repentance and faithfulness. This theme of restoration, while is specific to Israel in this passage, we see that the broader biblical message is that God seeks to restore and redeem all those who turn to Him. We even see that the New Testament echoes this as Jesus as being our restorer. He is the means through which all of humanity which includes you and me, can come back to God, can be restored in a right relationship with God because of His sacrifice. We see that restoration is rooted in the character of God. The very nature of God is to restore. From the beginning, even when sin entered the world, God’s plan for redemption and restoration was already set in to motion. So, wherever we are right now, whenever we feel a sense of discouragement or we feel that many things have been taken away from us, let us trust God’s heart and know that He is always towards restoring us because His very nature, His desire, His attribute is to restore each one of us. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you that we worship a God who restores, a God who brings back things to its original position. We bring ourselves to you knowing that you will restore all the things that have been lost from our lives because it is your desire to redeem and restore us back to you. Thank you for doing this for us, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
