Hello friends, thank you so much for joining. Let's continue to talk about God's peace. As always, we'll begin by reading a scripture and this is from Isaiah chapter 26 verse 3, ‘You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you.’ We understand that our peace comes from God who is the very source of peace. He is the one who gives us peace. He will give us His peace. Now, there are other things for us to consider in this passage and that is our actions. We notice that this peace is for the one whose mind is stayed on God. In other words, when our thoughts, our imaginations and everything that goes on in the mind is focused on the person of God and His word, our mind is fortified by peace. Secondly, there is the aspect of trusting and this is again something that we need to do which is to believe or have faith in God. So, our mind leans on Him and we trust in Him and that's the way to walk in peace and receive God's peace. As we look at Young's literal translation of the same passage, it says, ‘an imagination supported thou fortifies peace, peace for in thee it is confident.’ Now, let's understand that we fortify our mind by the word of God and the right imagination. But at the same time, the word of God tells us that He fortifies our mind with peace. So, on one side, we are fortifying our mind with the right thoughts and from the other, God is fortifying our minds with His peace. What a beautiful assurance that you and I can choose to walk in peace and at the same time, God is at work releasing His peace in those very difficult situations where we wonder how we can keep calm. Let's keep our mind focused on God and let's trust and believe in Him. Receive the peace that fortifies and walk in it. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for your powerful word that reveals that you do the work of fortifying our minds, protecting our minds, and strengthening our minds. Help us to strengthen our imagination with the right thoughts, thank you that you want us to walk in perfect peace, we give you praise, in Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
