Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and thank you for joining us for another episode on Living Supernaturally, where we go through God’s word together, meditate on His word and are encouraged. We started this week with looking on the topic of work. Yesterday, we determined that work is a gift from God. How do you work for your employer? Do you work for him or her as you would work for Jesus? If we are not intentional about the way that we work, it is easy that our eyes of faith could be very slippery and we forget who it is we work for. Our attitude towards who we work for really matters. In all that we do, even in our work, we are called to live radically God centered lives. Paul says that all our work should be done as work for Christ, not for any human supervisors. Colossians chapter 3, verse 24 says, ‘work hard and cheerfully at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.’ To put it in the simplest of terms, God is our boss. We are working for God and working for God is all about honoring God. To work for the Lord is to work according to His values. So, I work in a way that needs to please God. So, think about a situation at work, if you do good work, it makes not just you look good, but it also makes maybe your employer or your supervisor look good, it reflects well on them. But if you are a poor employee, it probably shows and senses that your supervisor didn’t give you the exact directions or didn’t communicate the expectations that were needed of you and so that reflects on your employer as well. When we work, we look at working as unto God. God is the one who is our employer. Things change drastically in our attitude when we shift our focus and when we bring God into the picture of our work. Having the attitude that God sees us and appreciates our work, changes the way we work and ultimately who we work for. So, stewardship of work teaches us that we don’t own our work, it is not our position or our title. We are only stewards of what God has given us, stewards of a position maybe for a period of time. we are responsible to fulfill these duties and even to prepare the person who maybe coming after us. So, when we work, let us look beyond our employer, beyond the person we work for and realize and understand that we have a higher authority to whom we are responsible to. So, God is our boss and may our work glorify God, may it reflect God as good and may it reflect God as powerful. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, thank you for teaching us that we work for you, we work unto you. Even as you have entrusted people over us, may we keep our focus on working for you and honoring you and bringing you glory over our work. Thank you that you work and empower us to do so, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
