Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and welcome to this week of daily devotionals and we are thankful for the opportunity to come to you and spend time with you each day, sharing the word of God and taking a few moments to pray together. This week, we are going to spend sometime just thinking about God’s word and reflecting on His word on the subject of money. There is a lot in the bible concerning money, wealth, material possessions and so on but we are going to highlight just a few things over the course of this week. For some of us this may come as a reminder and an encouragement, to others some of these things maybe new, you may not have heard of them or read about them in the scriptures, so it might be something you are exposed to for the first time, but its always good to go to the scriptures on any subject that we are concerned about, that we have to deal with in everyday life and discover what the word of God says. Today, as we begin, we want to just remind us, or introduce us to the truth that it is God who gives wealth. There are many scriptures on this, I will just bring our attention to a couple, in Deuteronomy chapter 8, verse 18, Moses speaks and says to God’s people, ‘And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.’ Solomon speaking in Ecclesiastes chapter 5, verse 19, ‘As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God.’ Two interesting observations, one is that God blessing His people with material thigs is part of His covenant blessing. God says I will give you the power to get wealth as a part of establishing my covenant with you, that you are my covenant people, you are in relationship with me and so I’m going to bless you with the ability to make wealth. Secondly, the ability to enjoy riches, wealth, and power to enjoy it or eat of it and to enjoy your work, it is a gift of God, it is something that God blesses us with. So, we begin with that understanding that this is really a blessing from God, for you to have more than enough for your life, so that you, your personal life, your family can be blessed and also to bless others with, that is part of God’s covenant blessing for you, and it is also a gift that God blesses each of us with. Let’s open up our hearts and be willing to receive this and as we progress this week, we will see what God wants us to do with the riches, the wealth that He would entrust us with. Let’s open our hearts and pray together, Father, we thank you, that in your covenant, you give us the power to get wealth and it is you who bless us. Give us the gift to enjoy these things and to serve your purposes. We thank you, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
