Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much once again for giving us this opportunity to minister God's word and a few moments in prayer as well. This week, we're talking about God and faith at work and today, we'll be talking on ethical decision making in our workplaces. 1 Corinthians chapter 10 and verse 31 says, "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." Ethical, godly decisions making involves aligning choices with God's character, His word, focusing on love, righteousness and truth. It is a holistic process integrating prayer, scripture, study and wise counsel to discern God's will. Every day at work, we will make decisions, some small, some routine, others complex and challenging. Ethical decision making isn't just about avoiding wrongdoing; it's about choosing what is right and what honors God. As followers of Christ, our standard goes beyond convenience, profit or approval of others. We are called to live in integrity even when no one is watching. It's not just merely following laws but assessing the impact of choices and acting with integrity. Ethical decision-making matters because our choices as a witness to those around us matter. Colleagues, clients and communities may never open a Bible, but they will observe how we live. When we choose integrity over corruption, honesty over deception and service over self- ambition, we demonstrate Christ's reality and Christ's transforming power in our workplace. Ethical choices also build trust. In workplaces where credibility is currency, those who consistently act with integrity gain influence. Furthermore, our decisions have ripple effects. A single compromise may seem small, but it can affect families, communities and even society. Ethical decision making is therefore not only a personal but deeply communal attribute. To help us navigate these challenges, we can adopt four simple steps frame work. First, pause and pray. Many poor decisions are made in haste. Second, principle check. Ask if does this align with scripture, does it honor Christ? If the answer of the decision is clear, take a step forward. Third, people impact. Consider who will it affect? Ethical decisions are not just personal and they are there to work as teams. And fourth, practical consequences. Reflect on what witness this decision will leave, will it build trust or will it break trust? In conclusion, ethical decision making is not about avoiding wrong but representing Christ in the workplace. Each choice becomes an opportunity to show justice, mercy and love. Let's pray, Father, we thank you for your word. We thank you Lord for exhorting us to understand that even as we make decisions in our daily lives that we are to be aligned to your word and know that these decisions that we make are making an impact not only for our lives but also for your kingdom. Teach us to make these decisions in the right way and to glorify your name, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
