Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you for this opportunity to come to you today and spend a few minutes in God’s word and in prayer. This week, we are meditating on the theme total shalom or perfect peace or shalom, shalom. It is a place of complete wellbeing that the scriptures say is available to us, for those of us who put our mind on the Lord and trust in Him. Our quest is how do we get into that place of perfect peace and how do we live there? We explained yesterday that when the bible is talking about shalom, it talks about total wellbeing of mind, body, spirit and relationships, in every aspect of life that we are doing well, that is prosperity, health, favor, good understanding. How do we journey into it? Today, I want to bring our attention to another important aspect about what the scriptures tell us about shalom. In Isaiah chapter 53, verse 5, the bible says, ‘But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace/ shalom was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.’ The prophet Isaiah speaking about the cross of Jesus says this that the punishment that brought us shalom was upon Him or the suffering/ pain that would then result in us having shalom was put upon Him. We understand that the sin in this world and all the evil and things around us actually rob us, they are the root cause of disturbing, robbing and depriving us of shalom, the sin and all of its consequences, what the enemy does because of sin and so on. But on the cross, the Lord Jesus dealt with that. The punishment/ chastisement in order for us to have shalom, He bore the punishment/ suffering, He paid the price so that He could gift us shalom. What we must understand and embrace is Jesus fully paid for shalom to make shalom available to you and me, to make this precious gift of perfect peace, to make that available for you and me. Shalom, shalom, He paid the price so you and I can have that today. As we consider this on how we can enter into a place of perfect peace, let us understand this that the Lord Jesus paid for it and He gifted that to us. He made perfect peace/ shalom available to us through the cross of Jesus. Total wellbeing- in our spirit, in our mind/ emotions, in our body, in our finances, in our relationships, in everything, the gift of shalom in every area of our lives was made possible through the cross of Jesus Christ. The chastisement that brought us shalom was upon Him and because of the cross of Jesus, you and I can say, it is for me, Jesus paid for it so that I can have it, so I am going to go after it, I’m going to receive it because He made it available for me. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you that Jesus paid the price for us to have perfect peace, total shalom and through the cross of Jesus, we receive it and declare every area of our lives under the blood of Jesus and therefore under total shalom that He provided for us. Let every area of our lives come into a place of perfect peace, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
