Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you for this opportunity to come to you and spend these few minutes in God’s word and prayer. We trust that you are being encouraged to pursue total shalom and this place of perfect place, to enter into that place of perfect peace. Things will happen around us; we get pulled out of that place of perfect peace but get back in and say, I’m going back in, I’m not going to come out of this place of perfect place and I want everything in my world to be in this place of perfect peace. One of the things that Jesus taught us in John chapter 16, verse 33, He said, ‘These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.’ I want to emphasize what Jesus told us to do. He said, ‘be of good cheer’. What do you do when you have decided to be in a place of perfect peace but there is tribulation coming? You decided, I am going to stay in this place of peace but these tribulation/ things that are trying to disturb you. What do you do? Jesus said, be of good cheer, that means don’t let the troubles rob you of your peace and your joy, don’t let it do that. Be of good cheer, maintain this positive place of peace and joy even in the middle of these tribulations that come against you, be of good cheer. The reason we can be of good cheer is because He has overcome as we have mentioned in one of the earlier devotions. So, when the storm comes, the Lord has conquered every storm/ tribulation, so I can be of good cheer, that means I’m going to maintain myself in a place of peace and joy in the middle of the tribulation coming against me, I’m dwelling in a place of peace and maintaining my peace and joy. It is very interesting to look at how other versions render this. The Passion translation says, ‘you must be courageous for I have conquered the world.’ The Amplified Classic version says, ‘be of good cheer, take courage, be confident, certain, undaunted for I have overcome the world, I have deprived it of power to harm and I have conquered it for you.’ The Amplified Modern version says, ‘be courageous, confident, undaunted and be filled with joy, I have overcome the world, my conquest is accomplished, my victory is abiding. In other words, He is saying, look, I have won it for you, I have already done it, you be full of joy, confidence, peace, keep going, be of good cheer as you journey through the storm. There is an old chorus, with Christ in the vessel, I can smile/ laugh at the storm, I can be joyful in the middle of the storm because He conquered it. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you that you help us be of good cheer, full of peace and joy, undaunted, confident even in the middle of what we are going through, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
