Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you so much for journeying together this week, day after day, as we have been talking about what to do with a word of prophecy that we may receive or a prophetic word that we are given. Today, I want to touch upon another aspect of what we are supposed to do with the prophetic word or the word of prophecy that we receive. We are supposed to fight with that word of prophecy. The apostle Paul wrote to Timothy in 1 Timothy chapter 1, verse 18, he says, ‘This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare.’ He is reminding Timothy, he says, ‘Timothy, there have been prophecies that have been spoken over your life and some of them could very well have been spoken by the apostle Paul himself over Timothy’ life. We also know that there were other leaders who had spoken prophetic words over Timothy because Paul references that and says that through the eldership you had received prophecies given to you. So, he says, take these prophecies which have been spoken over your life and then he says, by them, that means using these prophecies you wage a good warfare. Obviously, who is Timothy going to wage this warfare against? Against the powers of darkness. The implications are many. It implies that the enemy is going to come to try to stop even words of prophecies that have been spoken over our lives. Here again, just because God speaks a prophetic word to you or over your life through human vessels, that doesn’t mean you and I can just fold our hands and say, that is a wonderful word God has spoken and it is just going to happen by itself, no! There is an enemy that is going to try to stop that prophetic word. What are supposed to do? We are to wage a good warfare using the words of prophecies. How do we wage that warfare? We can learn from Ephesians chapter 6, where the Bible tells us take the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God, that means we speak the word. Just as we speak the written scriptures, like Jesus used the written scriptures to fight every temptation that came against Him, we also use prophecies that were spoken to us in our warfare against the enemy. So, we say, God has spoken that He will do such and such a thing. God has spoken by His Spirit into my heart and over my life that such and such things will happen and we use those prophecies to wage a good warfare. Don’t sleep over your prophecy, use your prophecy in battle. Use it as a word from God to fight against the enemy. Just the same way that you would use the written scriptures as your sword against the enemy, as the sword of the Spirit. We learn we are supposed to take these prophecies and wage a good warfare against the enemy. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for the words that have been spoken over our lives. Like the apostle Paul encouraged Timothy, may we also take those prophetic words and wage a good warfare, fight against the enemy and fight a good fight using those prophecies, thank you Father, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
