Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Fearless (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Nancy Ramya

Shalom friends, welcome back. We've been looking at the essentials that we need in life, to keep moving forward with God and to keep moving forward in the things that God has called us to do. We looked at the fact that we need to be anchored in faith and today I'm here to tell us that fearlessness is another essential quality which will carry us forward. As we look at new assignments, a natural response is fear, there could also be some amount of natural anxiety because the task seems so large ahead of us and we are not sure if we will be able to do what has been given to us. But I am reminded of the way God dealt with his people, every time there was an assignment ahead of a child of God, God gave them encouragement. Joshua chapter one and verse nine, it says, ‘have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.’ God spoke to Joshua and several times he tells him to not be afraid, to have courage, to be strong and the reason for this is because God Himself is with Him. Similar words were spoken to Moses, similar words were spoken to the children of Israel and today friends, as we look ahead to the new year that lies ahead and all the things that we have to undertake, we might feel heavy under a burden of fear but I'm here to remind us that God wants us to be fearless. Be strong, be bold, take courage because God is with us and through our God, we shall do valiantly. Be courageous and give no place to fear. Sometimes, fear can come because of the opposition that we face, there are many things that could come and hinder us in our work for God. When we look at the early church, they faced persecution, they had people threaten them to not continue the work of God. But a classic key that the early church had is fearlessness and boldness that they had for God. They were a wise people; they did not do things that would put them in trouble and yet a characteristic that they also carried along was boldness. Look at the prayer that they prayed in Acts chapter four and verse 29, ‘Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to your servants that with all boldness they may speak your word.’ God's people cried out to Him for boldness and what a wonderful prayer that they made and asked God for boldness. Today, shall we do that church, shall we ask God for boldness that we may be fearless in doing what God has called us to do? Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you that you have promised your presence in our lives, Lord, if you are for us who can be against us. I pray that we will be filled with the boldness of heaven. And God we ask the way that the early church prayed, give us boldness, give us boldness to serve you, give us boldness to keep moving forward and thank you for doing it for us, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
