Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello friends, thank you for joining in. We are talking about the power of the words of our mouth and today I want to talk about declaring our faith and speaking what God speaks.

Let’s look at Romans chapter 4 and verse 17, it says, ‘(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;’ Talking about Abraham, we are told that God spoke something completing different about Abraham as compared to his normal situation or his natural circumstance. We know that Abraham was old in years and so was his wife and God gave them a promise that they would have their own son of promise, who would be the first of the many descendants and that they would have the blessing of descendants that they will fill the earth. Looking at Abraham, in Romans chapter 4, we see that he waited for 25 years for the fulfillment of this word that he would have a son of promise. Abraham was really standing up against the odds, he was old, his wife was old and nothing in the natural looked like there is a possibility of them having a child. In those circumstances, we see that God gave a promise which was contrary to the natural. We are told, God who gives life to the dead and calls those things which don’t exist as though they did, meaning God is a God who can speak the impossible and it will come to pass. God is somebody who carries that kind of a capacity, who can speak life in the place of dead and God can even speak and bring life to the non-existent thing. As we look at the way God ministers in a dead situation, what we learn, is to do the same. In Abraham’s dead situation, we are told that he learnt to speak like God. In the following verses, we see that Abraham gave thanks to God, when nothing was happening and yet he gave thanks to God for the fulfillment of God’s promise. So, he began to speak the impossible, he began to speak life in the place of deadness, and he called those things that did not exist as though they did, and it began to manifest in his life. We are not encouraging people to just speak and see the manifestation or name and claim, but the word of God is truth and as long as we are speaking the truth of God’s word, we are on the right track. We are not trying to make things up, but if God has spoken, that is truth and that will come to pass. We are just aligning ourselves to what God has spoken and we can be confident that even the impossible will turn into possible, as we speak life. I just want to encourage us, maybe we find ourselves in dead situation, at the end of the rope, in hopelessness, but begin to speak life, speak hope, and speak what God would say in that situation and you will see things turning around.

Let’s pray together, Father God, we thank you for the hope that we have in you. We know that what is real is in the spiritual realm and thank you that the impossibilities in the natural realm, can turn around as we speak words of faith and speak your words and your heart over situations. Thank you even today, that you are turning situations around, we want to give you thanks and praise for it, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
