Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings, and thank you once again for joining us today on this daily devotional episode. We are spending time over these 7 days to examine and explore Jesus’s teaching on the subject of faith, and we are outlining/ highlighting various aspects of His teaching on having faith in God.

Today, I want to bring our attention to this fact that faith is the key to seeing the glory of God or to see the miraculous work of God. In John chapter 11 and verse 40, Jesus made this statement, He told Mary and Maratha they were there at that time and of course there were probably others who heard what He said, He told them, ‘“Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”’ The situation is such that Lazarus, brother of Maratha and Mary has been dead now for four days, he has been put in the tomb, the tomb has been sealed and the body must have reached a certain level of beginning to decay and decompose and so on and here is Jesus coming on the fourth day and He is telling them, ‘Move the tombstone away’. Obviously, His intention is to being Lazarus back to life. Maratha is a little hesitant, she said, ‘Lord he has been dead four days, there is going to a big stench coming forth if you move the tombstone.’ The sisters are grieving, and Jesus is telling them move the stone, doesn’t make sense at all. At that moment, Jesus reminds them of something he has taught them/ spoken to them already about, whether He spoke this to them that same day or whether He spoke this to them on some previous occasion, but He has taught them this one truth, that if you believe, you will see the glory (the word glory simply means the miraculous expression of who God is and what He does, the works and nature of God revealed in a very tangible and practical way) of God. He is reminding them; did I not say to you? That means I have taught you, that if you believe, you will see the work of God. So, faith is the key for us to see the work of God.

Many of us want to see God work in our lives, of course we all need God to work in our lives, there are circumstances and situations, that we need the supernatural power of God to come in and change, but what is it that can cause God’s word to take place in our lives, Jesus said, if you believe, you will see the glory/ work of God taking place in your life. That is how we can make this statement, faith is the key/ important, believing God is so important, so we must learn how to believe in God, we must learn what is bible faith. We are not talking about intellectual faith and understanding but bible faith, what is it to have bible faith so we can see the glory of God, we are going to learn, let us stay on course.

Let us pray, Lord we thank you, that Jesus taught us that if we believe, we will see the glory of God and I pray all of us listening that we will have faith, will believe, and see the glory of God in various areas of our lives, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
