Greetings and thank you for the opportunity to come to you this week and take a few minutes each day to bring to us a thought from the word of God and also take a few minutes to pray together. One of the things that I personally feel that needs to be reignited in the hearts of us as believers, as followers of Jesus is the passion to bring the message of Jesus to people. So, we are emphasizing personal evangelism and this week, we want to stir up our hearts as believers to be motivated to go share Jesus with others. Many times, the reason we as believers don’t feel motivated to do personal evangelism, to win souls, to be witnesses, to share the gospel is because we don’t understand that we are actually meeting a very important need in the lives of people to whom we are speaking to. Of course, there are many other aspects to personal evangelism but I’m taking about the why and one of the primary reasons why, it is that people actually need Jesus and that when we are sharing Jesus, we are actually meeting a need, filling a void, addressing something in their lives and that is what we want to focus on this week. Today, we begin by referencing Ecclesiastes chapter 3, verse 11 which says, ‘He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.’ While Solomon is talking about the importance of time and God doing everything in His time, he then transitions to talking about something that God has put eternity in the hearts of people and yet, we as people are not able to understand everything about God. We don’t know everything that God does but there is something that has been put in our hearts that is pulling us, prompting us to seek after God. He has put eternity in every person’s heart, that means within every person, deep within them, there is a longing to know God; even the God Himself is so vast, so great and we cannot fully comprehend, yet there is something in us that says, I want to know this God. So, when you are sharing the gospel, understand that every person you speak to, eternity has been out in their hearts. There is something that God has already put in them, will want them to seek God and we are just connecting to what God has already out in their hearts when we bring the message of Jesus Christ. Let’s pray, Lord, we ask that you will awaken us to know that people, the multitudes around us that our friends, family members, those we know that they have a need for Jesus in their life. Awaken us we pray, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
