Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Enslaved? (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Ashish Raichur

Greetings and thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to come to you today and spend this week with you, each day in short devotionals and a time of prayer. This week, we're going to be talking about overcoming pornography. Now, this is an area of challenge for many believers, both men and women who seem to be trapped in this particular area in their lives of pornography. So, I want to assess the problem and then lead us through understanding of how God in His word would help us overcome this. But first of all we need to understand that this habit or this addiction actually enslaves a lot of people and we are obviously addressing believers in these devotionals. Jesus said in John chapter 8, verse 34, ‘whoever commits sin is a slave to sin.’ 2 Peter chapter 2, verse 19, I'm reading from the Contemporary English version it says, ‘people are slaves of whatever controls them.’ In Proverbs chapter 5, verse 22, it says, ‘his own iniquities entrap the wicked man and he's caught in the cods of his sin.’ So, you see sin in many ways and we're talking specifically about pornography actually enslaves and we use the word addiction, it becomes something that controls the person, man or a woman and they keep going back to it. Now, of course, many people they come up with this answer or response saying, well it's not hurting anybody, I'm not doing any harm to anybody. But think about it like this, first of all, you're hurting yourself because a person who is addicted to pornography is a slave to that. He may be apparently free in many ways but actually in his mind, in his emotions, he's enslaved. Secondly, he's another statistic to the market to the industry, that industry would not survive if it were not for the people who were consuming the kind of things that were being put out and if you can take yourself out of it, that's one statistic, one person less who's going to consume that content. it may not make much of a difference but you're making a statement that you will not subscribe to these kinds of things. So, this week we believe that God is going to set us free from being addicted to pornography. Now, I want to make mention of this, that many cases, there are demonic spirits involved, there are unclean spirits that are involved because of this habitual addiction. There are strongholds in the minds of people that are occupied by these unclean spirits and as I pray, as we pray, we're expecting those strongholds to be demolished by the truth of God's word and then by the anointing of the Holy Spirit, for those unclean spirits to be expelled out of our soul, out of our mind, out of those strongholds and that's how deliverance will come and you will experience complete freedom. So, open up your heart, open up your mind to Jesus and expect to be set free. We no longer need to be slaves to this addiction. Let's pray, Father, in Jesus’s name we consecrate our lives, we consecrate our minds, we consecrate our emotions, we consecrate our sexual appetites and in Jesus’ name we declare freedom in these areas. If there be anyone who's addicted to pornography, this week may complete full deliverance and permanent deliverance come into their lives through the ministry of your word and the ministry of your Spirit, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
