Shalom and it's so good to have you join us here with another episode of Living Supernaturally.
We have been looking at instructions at God's word, where we are embracing certain
instruction that begins with ‘not’- embracing God's nots. Today, we are going to be looking at
faint not. There may be many moments or seasons in our lives where we feel like giving up,
where doing the right thing may feel exhausting, may feel fruitless. When probably it is serving
in ministry, maybe it's time when you're praying for a breakthrough or when you are staying
faithful in difficult circumstances, there could be times when we tend to faint and grow weary
and that creeps in. But there may be also times when we are praying for miracles but we don't
see answers. But God reminds us here to faint not. Galatians chapter 6, verse 9 reads, "And let
us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."
What does it mean to faint? To faint means to lose heart, to lose hope, to become discouraged,
to stop trying and that's what Paul reminds us here in Galatians that even when we are tired,
when we are discouraged, to not give up, to not grow weary, why? Because God's promises are
sure. It remains sure that our labor is not in vain. We read through this verse that Paul uses an
analogy of a farmer. Like just as a farmer does not see fruit immediately after planting it or
after sowing it, our efforts in faith, service and obedience will bear fruit in due season. We
know that the harvest is guaranteed. When the farmer sows a seed, a fruit is guaranteed if you
do not give up. Keep sowing, keep believing, keep trusting. Your season of reaping will come.
We see Joseph's life a powerful illustration of Galatians chapter 6, verse 9. Despite the
hardships, the betrayals, the delays, he did not faint, he continued carrying on and in due
season he reaped a good harvest. We see that Joseph was sold to slavery by his brothers, he
remained faithful in Potipher's house. Later he was accused, thrown into prison, yet he
continued to trust God. We see that even after interpreting the dreams, he was forgotten for
two more years. He could have lost heart, but he remained faithful and he was patient. So, how
do we see that Joseph reaped his harvest in due season? We see that at the right time, God
remembered him and he was called to Pharaoh's palace to interpret dreams. He reaped not
only power and influence but later he reaped reconciliation with his family. What is the lesson
for us? That we should not grow weary, we should not grow faint but keep sowing in faith and
obedience and service because our due season is coming and let's not give up before the
harvest. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, we pray that you would keep us from being
weary, that we will continue being faithful in sowing our seeds of prayer, our seeds of knowing
that miracles and breakthroughs will come. Father, even as we sow, may we know and may we
believe and look to you for the harvest. Father God, we pray that we will be faithful knowing
that you are faithful to your word, in Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
