Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to come to you today, spend these few moments with you. We trust that these short episodes on how to interpret dreams and what to do with them is of help to you, will encourage you to be more alert in the dreams that God might be sending to you and speaking to you and it would awaken us to being more receptive and active participants in the dreams He gives to us. We are living in that time of visions and dreams. The prophet Joel spoke about it, Peter repeated the prophecy in Acts chapter 2, verses 17 and 18, where he said, ‘in the last days, I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, upon you sons and your daughters, your young men will see visons and your old men will dream dreams.’ It doesn’t mean God excludes old men from seeing visions and young men from having dreams. No! Young men and old, people of all ages can experience visions and dreams. Typically, when God speaks at the night, we call that a dream. When God is giving us a visual during the day, when we are alert, we call that a vision. So, God is speaking to us when we are awake and when we are asleep. We will be dealing specifically with dreams and how to process them and what do we do with them. I want to share two more thoughts here as we talk about interpreting dreams. Today, I just want to bring our attention to the importance of praying for the fulfillment of the dream. So, usually when God gives you a dream, you write it down, write down the meaning that you sense and you’ve put down what those figures mean. The best person to interpret the dream is you, yourself because you are the one who received that dream and you are very aware of all the details you saw, the colors you saw and the emotions that you felt, so you are the best person to interpret the dream. Suppose you are unable to, then definitely ask somebody who maybe spiritually mature, you share that dream with them and they maybe able to help interpret that dream. We see that in the bible as well, where God used certain people with the special gift to be able to interpret dreams. So, you could go to someone who has been gifted by God, who understands, who discerns, who is prophetic, who is keen to the things of the Spirit to help you interpret the dream. Don’t just go to anyone, but go to somebody who know how to do it, whom God is using in that manner. So, you write down the dream and very important you write down the meaning of that dream and you begin to pray for the fulfillment of that dream. If God has spoken to you about something in that dream, something He has shown you He wants to fulfill in your life, something He has shown you He wants to carry out though you, something He has shown you to do and act upon, maybe a task to fulfill, a task to carry out, or something He wants you to do for somebody else. Whatever that is, if it involves you or somebody else that God is saying that might happen to that person, God has alerted you to that, begin to pray over it; whether it is for yourself or somebody else. So, praying over the fulfilment of the dream is so important. If it is a dream about a danger that is going to happen, then you pray to avert that danger and say God, this will not happen. If you have seen somebody have an accident, you say, God, I pray that this accident will not happen. If you see some danger happening to somebody, you pray, God, I pray this danger will not happen ad that you protect them. The reason God is giving that to you is to alert you so you can engage in prayer and protect that person. It is not to create alarm and it is not to go and tell that person that is going to happen, no, He has given it to you so that you can prevent it from happening and protect and preserve that person though the dream that God has given you. It is so important to engage prayerfully based on the dream that God has shown to you. Let’s pray together, Father, we thank you that this is a time when you speak to us in visions and dreams. I pray you will help us to act on those dreams, pray over them and to do what you want us to do with those dreams that you give to us, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
