Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Draw Near (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Nancy Ramya

Welcome once again everyone, we are talking about entering the presence of God. We have unhindered access and unhindered communication that can be established with God and we're going to learn about something more today about entering God's presence. Let's first read from Hebrews chapter 10 and verse 22, it says, ‘let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.’ When we talk about the tabernacle of the Old Testament, that's the tabernacle of Moses, God gave him a pattern to follow and when you look at the structure, there is the outer court and then there is the inner court and finally the Holy of Holies. Each one of these sections of the tabernacle depict something about our relationship with God. So, if we take that into the new heavenly tabernacle, the presence of God that you and I can enter unhindered, here are some learnings. The way the outer court is a picture of us washing ourselves before we enter into the presence of God, you and I, when we pray, we could come into God's presence, we could confess our sins, we could receive forgiveness for our sins and have that communion with God. Now, the inner court represents a place where the priest could engage in communion, the priest could intercede, the priest could fellowship with God. So, in the same way, as we go deeper into God's presence, you and I can come to a place where we do all of this intercession, communication and communion and all of that. But the early tabernacle had the holiest of holies, a place where the High priest could experience God's overwhelming presence. In the same way, as we enter God's presence, each one of us has the choice. We can enter after the outer court experience God to a certain degree and walk away or we could go in a little deeper and experience, intercession and communion with God and walk away or come all the way into the holiest of holies or the very overwhelming presence of God, where mighty things take place, the choice is ours. As Hebrews chapter 10, verse 22 says, ‘now let us draw near to God.’ How near can we draw to God? In fact, God leaves that option to us, we can come a little closer to Him as we enter His presence or we can choose to come all the way to the holy of holies where there's nothing left to do, than to experience Him in His fullness, in His wholeness and have us transformed in that presence of God. So, friends, let us not stop at the outer court or even the inner court, while it is wonderful to be there, let us keep moving closer to God and as God's word invites us, draw near and nearer all the way into the holiest of holies. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you, that you have made a provision for us to experience your overwhelming presence. We make a choice to come all the way into your presence and we thank you for all the mighty things that will be accomplished in that place of presence for us. We thank you Lord, we thank you for revealing this to us, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
