Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hi everyone, welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much for joining us even as we spend a few moments in God’s word and in prayer. This week, we are talking about trust and how as believers, we are called to trust in God through the good and bad times. Today, we will talk about don’t worry. Luke chapter 12, verses 22 to 26, ‘Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?’ Life gives us many reasons to worry. We worry about our family, our friends, our finances, our health, our society, our nation. In light of what we have read, why would God urge us not to worry? By telling us not to worry, God isn’t telling us to pretend problems don’t exist or we shouldn’t meet our daily obligations. Rather, God is encouraging us not to become consumed with worry about tomorrow’s issues. Jesus tells a parable to show that it is foolish to think that our security is in our wealth other than in God. The story is often called a parable of the rich fool. Jesus called the man in this parable a food because he was not thankful for the harvest he received. Instead, the man was more concerned about the lack of storage space. He thought that as long as he had possessions, he made it. Worry can damage our health, our relationships and worry can rob our joy, our opportunities, worry can affect ourselves and others as well. Our worry can most importantly affect our relationship with God. Worry only has negative effects. What can we do instead of worrying? To keep from being swept away by these anxious thoughts about the future, we put our thoughts and energies to better use by planning and spending time in God’s presence, by reading His word. Planning and praying are both action oriented. When we are busy planning, we move out of this place of unproductive state to a place of being productive. In a similar way when we pray, you are giving God a chance to work in our lives. In telling us not to worry about tomorrow, God is asking us to trust that He will give us enough. Our culture maybe losing its human value, but be assured that God has not lost His value. We are His prize, we are His people, we are His chosen generation. Here is the bottom line, Jesus tells us to invest wisely. Where your treasure is, that is where your heart will also be. You must first live for God, trust in Him absolutely, throw away our worries and seek first His kingdom. Let us pray, Father, we thank you for this time and your word. You have so explicitly said to us, not to worry and I pray that you will enable us even when we see situations and circumstances, that we will not look at them in a natural way but we will put our trust in you and know that you are working in our waiting and in our seasons. We give you all the praise and glory, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amne.
