Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Dominion (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Ashish Raichur

Greetings! and thank you for this opportunity to come to you and spend a few moments in the word of God. This week, we've been reminding ourselves of what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross. We know that this entire week, we have been preparing ourselves, thinking about the cross, looking at what Christ did for us on the cross. The fact is, it's real for us today, although He died on the cross 2000 years ago, we receive it, we walk in the provisions of the cross. I just want to remind us today of one more aspect of Christ's provision for us on the cross, which is dominion. The cross is a place of great triumph, it's not a place of defeat, but it's the greatest triumph ever because the Bible tells us and Colossians chapter 2, verses 14 and 15, that ‘Jesus Himself on the cross, He took away the handwriting of offenses that was against us, nailed it to the cross and He disarmed the principalities and powers, and He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it or on the cross.’ What did Jesus do on the cross? He disarmed principalities and powers, talking about demonic powers, He disarmed them, He totally deprived them of all their ability and power, He triumphed over them on the cross. Or as Hebrews chapter two and verse 14 says ‘He destroyed the one who had the power of death.’ John chapter 12, he says, ‘He cast out the one satan.’ In John chapter 16, it says, ‘He judged him, He sentenced him.’ So, all of these scriptures teach us that on the cross, Jesus crushed satan, He defeated him, He rendered him powerless, He stripped him of his power, He triumphed over him, He disarmed satan and all those demonic powers and He did it all for us, He didn't have to do it for Himself because anyway, He is the eternal words, the king of Kings, the king of glory. So, He did it as our representative, in our place for us so that today, you and I can walk in the fullness of that provision. So, whenever you think of the devil, there's only one thing you should be thinking of, as Paul put it, that satan is crushed underneath your feet and you are an absolute mastery over satan and all his demons because of the provisions of the cross. That's the way a believer has to deal with satan and his demons, they're all underneath your feet. Christ conquered them and triumphed over them. Let's pray, Father, we thank you for the dominion we have over every evil power, every spirit of darkness because of the finished work of Christ on the cross. This work is done, and we walk in the fullness of that triumph, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
