Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Creator (Daily Devotional)

Hello everyone, such a joy to study about the person of God and His creativity. Today, we will talk about God as creator. As we go back to the very first scripture in the bible, we read that ‘in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.’ The very first introduction of the nature of God is as a creator. He created the heavens and the earth. As we proceed, we will see a list of creatures that He created, creatures on the land, creatures in the sea, creatures in the sky, plants, various things that God created. So, the ability to create was in God and it continues to be in God. As we study the scriptures, we see that the Godhead is a creative Godhead. All the three, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit were involved in creation and they continue to be engaged in creating things here for us, not just for us, God is the creator, that is the point I’m making. So, we see God as a creator has that creative streak and as we read the passages in the book of Genesis, we notice that God was happy with all that He created which tells us that He did a pretty good job, so as He finished each task, He would say, it is good, this is good. God was happy, even when He created man, He delighted and He appreciated His own work. Such is the creative ability of God, He made things, He didn’t stress about it, He enjoyed the work which He did and that speaks a lot to us that we can create what God has put inside us, the ability that He has given us to create, we can use it, we can also enjoy the work and delight in the things that we do. God enjoyed His work. Here is the next question, how did God create the heavens and the earth? Do He use some very heavy equipment to do this? In this case, in the book of Psalm, reveals the method He used to create. Psalm chapter 33, verse 6, it says, ‘By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.’ Even Genesis record that for us. God just spoke and said, ‘let there be light and there was light’. What did God use to create the heavens and the earth? His word, His breath carries power, it carries authority, it has the capacity to produce and so God’s word carries creative ability and even as we speak His words which He has put in our mouth, we can see that same ability to create being released in our day to day lives. So, God created by the power of His word. Let’s pray that God will give us a deeper understanding of the power of His word. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you that you are a creator. Father, even as you have done this by the power of your word, we pray that you will help us understand the authority of your word, in Jesus’ name we ask, Amen.
