Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello friends, welcome! We continue to speak about some of the prayers that we can pray for the church. We know that we need to be a praying church the way the early church of the book of Acts was and I just want to encourage us to not just pray at some given times. Of course, we need to have those scheduled periods of prayer and spontaneous times of prayer where we go before the Lord but then there is something that the Lord has ordained in the scriptures for us and as we look at a passage from Leviticus chapter 6, verse 13, it says, ‘A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out.’ We find that in the tabernacle of worship which was established by Moses, God have him this instruction that the fire of the altar must keep burning and that it should never be put off. We understand that the fire of the altar is a symbol of prayer and worship and as we look at what God has done under the Old covenant especially the time when David established his tabernacle of worship, we see that there was 24/7 prayer and worship that kept going on for about 33 years and that was something that the Lord delighted in so much that the prophet Amos later on prophesied and said that God is going to repeat this manner of worship which is unending or continuous. So, one of the prayers that we can pray for ourselves is that we would be a praying community and that we will continue in prayer like that fire of the altar that should never be put off. May our prayer that rises as an incense in the very presence of God, may that never be put off. May we become that community that is perpetual in prayer and carry that fervor and stirring in our hearts to keep seeking the Lord about various matters and we know that our God is a prayer answering God and He pours out His Spirit upon us as we seek Him. Just reminded of so many such movements in history, one being that of the Moravians. We see in the 1700’s, there was a community of people who began praying in this manner, they started a chain prayer for 24 hours and people were signing up to be part of the prayer for 1 hour and what we see in history is that this prayer went on and it is said that it went on for about 100 years. As a result of such continuous prayer, many wonderful things took place. We see that there was a great missionary zeal that people carried. Missionaries went out of the Moravians and we see that in a very short period of time, even up to 226 missionaries were sent out from this small community. This is just an example of one community that sought the Lord continuously and who is to say what God can do if our communities seek Him the way the Moravians did. Let’s pray that we would be continuous in prayer. Let’s pray, Heavenly Father, we pray that you would pour out upon us that spirit of prayer and supplication. Holy Spirit, enable us to come back to that place of seeking you continually. Let prayer movements arise around the world and we pray that you would do your awesome works even as we seek you, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
