Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and welcome to another episode of Living Supernaturally. We have been enjoying God’s word, listening to some of the invitations of Jesus through these series of devotionals called ‘Come’. Today, for our devotion, we are going to be looking at another invitation which is ‘Come, all is ready.’ Today is an invitation or a familiar call you hear in every home when a meal is ready, ‘come everything is ready’. The bible gives us the parable of a great supper and teaches us the invitation of God to everyone who join Him in the feast. Let’s read from scripture some verses, Luke chapter 14, verses 17-18, ‘a certain man gave a great supper and invited many, and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, ‘Come, for all things are now ready.’ In this parable you see a certain man who has planned and prepared a large banquet/ feast and he has sent out invitations. When the banquet is ready, he sent his servants to contact the invited guests to come over. But what we see is one after the other, the guests make excuses for not coming. One has bought a land, one has bought some oxen, one is married and they all refuse to come. Hearing these excuses, the man summons his servant to bring others to enjoy the banquet. So, those who were initially invited to the banquet are consequently excluded from it by this host and others are invited. This invitation we read is an ample and a lavish and a plenty spread for those who choose to come. He says, come, for everything is ready, everything; all you can eat is there, it is like having an entire spread on a table, being able to choose from a lot of dishes and that is the same experience that is being spoken here. When we look at the verse, we see beyond that, we see that it is a picture of the abundant salvation God so freely and lavishly provides. So, when you come to the banquet table in Christ, you are not just given a morsel, you are given a feast and, in that feast, there He offers forgiveness of sins, He offers healing to our body, to our soul and our spirit, there is deliverance from every bondage, from every chain, there is peace that passes all understanding, there is the gift of righteousness and holiness, there is blessing over blessing over every walk of your life. He gives you an indwelling of the Holy Spirit who gives you peace and who replaces every anxiety or sadness that you maybe experiencing, on the table is fellowship that you have with Him every day to come to Him freely and most of all it is the promise of eternity. Peter describes this in his book, it says, ‘His divine power has granted us everything we need for life and godliness.’ When Christ invites us, it is a table of all things, everything is ready for us to have and to enjoy because Jesus paid for it all on the cross. Long before you and I thought of it, He made this ample provision for our salvation. His abundant provision means that you are welcome at any time to come and eat until you are satisfied. So, come, all is ready. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you, for the feast that you have set before us. We are privileged to know that there is nothing we need to do to partake in it. We thank you for your work on the cross that you have given everything so freely to us. May we come boldly to the banquet to enjoy what you have given for us. Give us grateful and thankful hearts every day, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
